Front Mission Evolved
Front Mission: Evolved Gets Metal Gear Decals

Square Enix has released a new Front Mission: Evolved trailer showing some new Metal Gear Solid decals for the game's walking wanzer war machines, such as the Kojima Productions Foxhound logo, which you'll be able to use to dress up your bipedal mech, and pretend that it's part of a frightening nuclear arsenal.

There is of course, no sneaking involved in Front Mission: Evolved, as demonstrated in the video - which surfaced at Comic-Con over the weekend - and shows plenty of heavy metal on metal action and a bevy of huge explosions. Sounds like a promising combination to us.

Front: Mission: Evolved  is due to land in September 2010.

Exploding cities are always fun, though.

I hope the online plays similar to Chromehounds. I've been trying to find a suitable replacement for that ever since they shut down the servers.

So using the MGS badges is supposedly to make the game sell more?

^ I think it's more an homage thing, since Metal Gear has a pretty iconic Mech.

I think it looks like a potentially cool game. I for one am all about the giant robots. Now give me the option to customize my Wanzer with a rail-gun that can launch nukes like Metal Gear Rex, and I'll wreak some virtual havoc.

@8 Agree to be honest, never liked mech games and this whole Metal Gear thing seems like a cheap way to raise publicity /mleh.

I've been watching this since it was announced way back well over a year ago, I see potential if for no other reason that it is an underrated franchise.

I really enjoyed Chromehounds and other mecha games. (Gundam ect.) I wouldn't mind giving this game a try. Looks decent IMHO. If I'm playing as a giant robot, what's to lose? :D
