Yes, we know 'limiteder' isn't a word before you start giving us English lessons, but that's just how limited BlazBlue: Contnuum Shift's Fan's Edition really is. It's so limited, that we had to invent a new word. Arc System Works and Zen United has announced that both a Limited Edition and far more exclusive 'Fan's Edition' will be coming to European shores alongside the standard release.

While the Limited Edition will contain its fair share of bonus BlazBlue goodies, such as a 96-page EU-only artbook and eight Continuum Shift art cards with combos and stuff, the Fan's Edition will be limited to just 500 pieces and will include the Limited artbook and cards as well as Makoto playable character DLC, a limited art print by noted Marvel artist Alvin Lee and a Noel 'Nendoroid' figurine.

The BlazBlue: Continuum Shift Fan's Edition will be available online from the Zen United Store, with pre-orders being taken now at http://www.zenunited.bigcartel.com/

BlazBlue: Continuum Shift hits the UK and Europe in October 2010.

  • That fan edition really does deserve that new word. Now that's the kind of edition I'd shell out for!
  • Awesome! Now just to wait for it to show up here in America
  • I love the Fan version :3
  • Already pre-ordered the fan-edition. Great offer better than the japanese CE. And the best thing: Eu-exclusive :D
  • Great, we didn't get it in the US. I'll probably just order it.
  • I'm really annoyed that US didn't get any form of special/limited/fan edition. I really want that Noel figure and eBay has 2 for offensively high prices. Ughhh. Maybe we'll get something to make up for it down the line. Apparently it was due to time constraints, but that's obnoxious.
  • Why not the US? That's so dumb...
  • #7 I'm right there with you as we're the only fuckers on this forum topic so far who have Blazblue avatars, its like *waves big BB flag that says Big BB fan* as you have all these people in EU who are like "What the fuck is Blaz Blue?" Thanks alot Aksys and ARC really, awesome job on the fan service.
  • #8 and #7 Aksys already explained that they couldn't make a Limited Edition in the US due to the limited time they had to work on the game.
  • Well as someone in the UK who had to wait god knows how long to play the game after you Yanks this goes some way to redress the balance. Anyway, pre-ordered it, £59.99 with postage, a cool £10 more than hmv have the LE version for...and you gotta pay with paypal now. Altho I expect the LE price will half a few months after release like BB:CT did. Meh. Oh, hmv also have the psp version listed for £7.99. Pre-order me do.
  • For the people who want the Noel figure. I read that Aksys will try to get some and sell them.
  • Hmmm. This is payback for us waiting so long to help deal with that whole Blitzkrieg thing, isn't it? Honestly, you UK-ers just don't let up about that.
  • C'mon guys we did get the game far ahead of EU, although you do have a point of it being a FAN edition. Shame the 360 isn't region free.
  • @13 I thought a fair amount of titles are region free for the Xbox 360?
  • Pay back for us in Europe having to wait for ages bitches. Now that my friends is great fan service. @ 8 Your a dick.
  • As someone in the US that is addicted to limited editions, I just have 2 questions: 1. Does anyone have any clue whether the PAL version of the game for 360 will be region locked, or is there a chance that I could use it on my NTSC-U/C console? 2. Regardless of whether the game is region locked or not, how about the DLC? I assume I would need to make a UK gamertag to be able to redeem the code, but once I have the DLC on my system would I be able to use it and/or would it work with a US copy of the game (if the PAL is indeed region locked). I'm thinking about importing this but want to know these 2 things first, as I don't want to get burned again like I did with X-Blades Royal Edition (though the statue was totally worth it even though I couldn't play the game). For all the stuff you get and the fact that it is limited to 500 copies the converted price of about $103 (with shipping to the US) isn't too bad.
  • I think getting the DLC character definitely makes this a buy for me.
  • @14- Yes, but it'd be nice if all 360 games were. Guess thats a bit off. @15- he has a point, it's a FAN edition so restricting it like that is gonna get some angry.
  • Gah i'd pre-order the fan edition but i'm guessing you have to pay for it now and not when they ship it, Curses! Oh and for the idiot that said people from Europe don't have the avatars, IT'S BECAUSE THEIR NOT RELEASED OVER HERE.
  • Well, mine is preordered. Cheek is I have to pay £5 postage for it to come walking distance from the publisher
  • Yep, got mine pre-ordered earlier today as soon as I read the news. I wish our american BB brother-fans could get something like this, but seriously, europe gets shafted on everything, from release dates to acessories to prices and various games that don't even come out around here, nice to have something for a change.
  • Ugh, as a US resident I almost didn't want to hear about this. Guess I'll go buy Haku-Men's 6B shirt from the Aksys site instead (less sex appeal than these options, but whatever).
  • @19 If your talking about gamer pics I'm sorry to hear that, they're all awesome; if your talking about actual avatar gear, we don't get here either (if it even exists).
  • I always wanted that Nendoroid after I saw it for the Japanese special edition. This is a definite buy for me
  • @23 He's referring to the gamer pictures. We got the game delayed by a year along with zero marketplace content apart from a trailer. As for the Fan Edition I'm not too sure if I should buy it.. £60 is a pretty big price tag, especially since the Calamity Trigger 'Limited' Edition was only £35 and even then it dropped to £17 or something a few weeks later. Is a poster, a character DLC and a figurine really worth almost double price tag over the standard Continuum Shift 'Limited' Edition at £35? Hmm..
  • I feel as if all of Europe just collectively kicked me in the nads. D:
  • #15: . . . . Hmm I dont recall spitting my poison to anyone inparticular,I simply made the comment about how its a bad move on Aksys and ARC to pull something like this, I have people I work with who excel at fighting games say BB:CS is the BEST fighting game to date. This man has lived in Japan for the majority of his adult life so if he says a game is solid its fucking solid, but we get shaft out of these editions? I'm only stating the general opinion of what US fans of BB are thinking and I dont think I deserve to be called a dick by a complete stranger.
  • @27 You might have only been stating your general opinion but the way it came across seemed pretty hostile, at least to me. EU users would gladly use the gamer pictures if they were available to us but they aren't so using that to gauge how many users play BlazBlue is pretty silly, especially on an achievement website. There's nothing stopping you from ordering either version. At least it's something to make up for the fact that EU users get no marketplace content, a year late CT and CS that is still delayed for a few weeks. I could be playing with my friends right now but I can't, just be happy you have the game already.
  • LMAO at the guy who thinks having a BB gamer pic makes him a good player XD Complainin and cryin because you re not gonna have your lil figurine is pathetic, n°15 was not that wrong after all...
  • SOLD OUT ALLREADY!!!! thats insane =[
  • Can't wait to get my fan's edition =D
  • Glad i got the fan edition yesterday
  • ... What the fuck is Blaz Blue? Nah, never mind, don't bother explaining it. I don't care.
  • @25 Well, you are right. But the way I see it, i'm supporting Arc / Zen United so that future games are also released over here. These companies aren't Activision or EA, they could actually use the money and the support. These are the types of titles that if you want a few months and get them heavily discounted, you're not doing much to support them. These niche companies and niche games need this kind of support, otherwise they won't do the games or won't release them outside japan. At least, that's the way I see it. That's why i went for the Fan Edition, I don't really care much about the poster and figure, I just wanted to support them directly.
  • Should of got the Fan edition but it is a hefty price tag, but on eBay those dolls are going for the same price as the fan edition...oh well i guess i can settle for the limited edition
  • @ 33 You need a serious slap if you dont know what this is and if you dont know what it is why even comment ? Its sold out already which im surprised that so many people play it... Who knows cause how quickly they sold out we might get a few more in ^_^
  • @36 Why *should* I know what it is? Besides I'm not a fan of the art style. Also, I comment because I can
  • @34 Oh, I fully support you in regards to helping out the niche market. I generally buy most niche games that I'm interested for their full retail price which is usually £40. For popular games I just wait a few weeks and the price drops to £20 or I can just rent it for £5 for a week. But still £60 is a pretty hefty price tag, at least to me. Then again people are gullible enough to pay £100+ for some tacky MW2/Halo bundles so I guess I can be happy with £60.
