Activision has announced blood-drenched, zombie-flattening driving action with 'Blood Drive', which plonks contestants in a gladitorial arena, where drivers battle each other and hordes of slavering zombies in a fight to the death. Isn't it always?
“Over-the-top vehicular combat and zombies are two things that go great together,“ said Activision's David Pokress. “What more is there to say?”
Indeed. Blood Drive takes place during a televised event in which you'll face "undead frat boys, cops, strippers and bachelorette partiers, each with their own special brand of death and devastation" in the arena of combat. It's everything we always wanted Big Brother to be.
Expect a variety of death-dealing motors, like hot rods and muscle cars, armed to the teeth with heavy weaponry for taking part in several blain-splattered events set up as a tournament across six different environments.
Four-player drop in and out competitive multiplayer is also promised with zombie-filled arenas to plough through and get your tire treads caked in brain matter and viscera. Sounds delish.
Blood Drive will be splodging zombie brains into the dirt in November 2010. So soon?! Yes. Check out the first five screens here.
