PES 2011 Demo Heading To Xbox Live Tomorrow
Written By

It looks like football fans will be able to make direct comparisons between PES 2011 and FIFA 11 on the same day this year, as Konami has confirmed that the PES demo will be arriving tomorrow on the Xbox Live Marketplace.

PES Team Leader, Jon Murphy made the announcement via his Twitter earlier today: "Great news. Xbox 360 demo confirmed for the 15th September alongside the other versions. Only a day to wait now!"

EA Sports' FIFA 11 demo will be appearing on Xbox live at around the same time, meaning that you'll be able to play both back to back, and make an informed decision as to which one is better.

Which football game do you think will reign supreme and take home the title this year? Let the arguments commence!

PES 2011 is due out late-September 2010 in Europe with a US release following in October 2010.

Sweet, will be nice to make an early comparison. Pro Evo looks to have come on leaps and bounds since the last game but the be-a-goalkeeper mode in fifa looks like it would be a lot of fun.

FIFA has been getting better every year, PES is just not what it used to be and since all the previews have said FIFA 11 is the best footy game ever and the fact that FIFA 10 was soooo good its quite obvious as to which i will be buying.

Would be nice if Ultimate team came with FIFA, id prefer that, to recoup the money they could charge slightly more for their packs.

Another cool feature i would like to see is in the Arena mode is to be able to play Wembley, Wembley doubles and Headers and Volleys, that would be amazing!!!

FIFA 11 looks exactly the same as FIFA 09. No great change.
PES has improved a hell of a lot with the limited resources they have. Cant wait to try them both :D

@7 do not rely on marketing ploys young one, you must learn to make your own decisions in life. Now go, spread your wings, and fly, fly, fly away.

It'll be nice to play both. But FIFA has always been the best in my eyes.

@7, FIFA 10 was awful, its like they finished 40% of the game then said "fuck it, the sheep will buy it anyway".

PES graphics only look good when its sunny, the animations are still sluggish and robotic, and the goalkeeping AI / shooting is still poor and unrealistic.

If FIFA 11 has all the bugs ironed out, then its an easy win, if not though, then I'll be counting down the days till FM2011 is released.

FIFA 10 was awful? Hmmm... not sure you will find many who agree with you there.

I'm interested to see how PES has progressed (it's fairly sad that each year I wait to see if Pro Evo has made it back to the way it was in it's hey day... even though I'm honestly not sure it ever will), and after FIFA World Cup, which in my opinion is the best damn footie game ever made, I can't wait to see what they have done to FIFA 11. Early indications point to it being even better.

As for all those moaning about annual updates... there is a demand for yearly iterations. There is nothing wrong with continually refining a game, upgrading the engine, adding new modes, animations etc. Updates would take up gigs and gigs of space, and there is only so much you can bolt on to an existing game.

I personally look forward to my yearly footie fix.

FIFA will always be my choice since it came out on next gen consoles, but to be fair PES looks good this time around. I'll be downloading both demo's and letting that decide :)

@13, its a mainstream game, so no i wont, because theres so many sheep out there who will play games like FIFA and CoD no matter how awful and unfinished they are.

Honest opinion. I've played both demos, and FIFA 11 is MILES better than pes 2011. Pes it just too ropey. Not polished enough. FIFAS Graphics aswell as the overall gameplay get a thumb up from me. Be interesting to see how everyone else rates them?
