Sacrifice*Tuesday, September 28, 2010 @ 12:10 PM
Gonna try it later =)Tuesday, September 28, 2010 @ 12:34 PM
wasnt jason miller on that tv show on MTV - Bully Beatdown ?Tuesday, September 28, 2010 @ 12:38 PM
Lashley is a huge guy in real life but he looks weird in this game... almost cartoonish. I wonder if this game has a better submission system...Tuesday, September 28, 2010 @ 01:01 PM
Some of the Striking looks weird as well as the GnP. A little cartoonish sometimes, but I might as well try the demo.Tuesday, September 28, 2010 @ 01:37 PM
(Grabs controller and looks for middle school bully)Tuesday, September 28, 2010 @ 01:53 PM
@4 Yep, thats him... kinda crazy, and a bit of a dick - but hes pretty funny at the same time. But yeah, I hope the submission system is better than UFC's one - for the amount of different moves the game has, the submissions were really lacking in any depth - and IMO really let it down. This does look okay so far though. Gonna check out the demo anyways - to see what like. But seeing as its an MMA game, I'll no doubt end up buyin' it anyway LOLTuesday, September 28, 2010 @ 02:24 PM
The controls suck ballsTuesday, September 28, 2010 @ 02:34 PM
I didn't find the demo fun at all.Tuesday, September 28, 2010 @ 03:51 PM
The default controls suck and are hard to use but you can switch them to the classic Ufc Undisputed controls if you want. All in all it was OK,not a buy for me though.Maybe a rent from gamefly.Tuesday, September 28, 2010 @ 05:37 PM
OK, well that was a bit of a let down... Didnt ike the demo much at all. As above - one for the rental list, I reckonTuesday, September 28, 2010 @ 06:02 PM
I was way disappointed. Even the "classic" controls suck. Also not being able to knock out Bobby Lashley with Alistair Overeem does not make sense. All he did was take me down. Takedowns are waaaay to easy to get. I submitted Jake Sheilds with Mayhem with ease, that should not happen. The moves are all too similar. I will say the create-a-fighter, replays, and rule changes look great - but the animation is awkward and the cut sequences ad nothing to the game. It kinda sucks, I had high hopes.Tuesday, September 28, 2010 @ 07:42 PM
its so funny how everyone was blasting the ufc game and EA had the nerve to tell dana white that MMA isnt a real sport and later they decide to make this game and everyone says it looks way better than UFCs and i played the demo and its crap. controls suck, looks cartoonish(although the faces were pretty good), they fight like theyre already tired but its cool that you can see the bones when you submit them. theres only two things about this game thats better than the ufc game, it has intros of the fighters coming down the ramp, and it has a good amount of fighters not present in the ufc game. so everyone who said that EA MMA was going to be better, there you go! UFC remains undisputed(despite its minor flaws)Tuesday, September 28, 2010 @ 07:44 PM
oh and the demo is retarded, i was fighting jake shields as jason miller(obviously because theres there no one else lol) and after the fight, there was blood on my elbow and arm, but nobody was cut or bruised? did anybody else notice this?Tuesday, September 28, 2010 @ 08:53 PM
@14 I haven't seen one person say it looks better then UFC? What are you on about? Will give it a shot myself, but the fact that they let you switch to Undisputed controls pretty much says enough for meTuesday, September 28, 2010 @ 09:08 PM
I tried the demo today. Not impressed. I get the guy on the ground and I'm on my back. A graphic comes on screen and says something about staying in the zone. I'm moving the thumbsticks around trying to figure out what's going on and the match is over. I won. I choked him out. What the...? I had no idea what I was doing. Undisputed is awesome. The bar is set awful high for MMA.Tuesday, September 28, 2010 @ 10:32 PM
yeah this game is gonna outsell UFC Undisputed...ha right!Wednesday, September 29, 2010 @ 01:32 AM
Ufc all the way this sux nuts, controls are crap very cartoony!! Not my cup of tea.Wednesday, September 29, 2010 @ 03:08 AM
this game is actually pretty cool. Graphics aren't great but it's fun to knee to the head and soccer kick. I got a KO win via up kick earlier and that was pretty cool. Once you get the hang of it you can actually do a LOT more than the UFC game. Unfortunately the controls are pretty difficult so I'll bet most people don't give it a chance.Wednesday, September 29, 2010 @ 03:45 AM
@ 16, if you have you been following every update about EA MMA since it was first announced and the moment pics were posted of it, you know would know what i mean by what i said, alot of people (and its fine because its their own opinion) claimed that it looked way better than the ufc games and claimed right off the bat that it was going to be way better. im jus saying the demo sucks and with only a few weeks left to its launch date, i doubt it will be any better. my nephew and i played it and got bored and went straight to playing ufc 2010 lol. needed a real MMA fix i guess, lol. just my opinion thoughThursday, September 30, 2010 @ 01:22 AM
I had high hopes for this title but the demo left an awful taste in my mouth...a little too hard to pull off combos. just wasn't up to par with UFC. nice try but no thanks.Thursday, September 30, 2010 @ 12:07 PM
Didnt like the demo at all. Too many take downs and all of the punches felt weak.Friday, October 08, 2010 @ 01:21 AM
the demo was fucked i wish EA will fix all the problems with it...not to happy bout it

Kids, if you're going to fight, please keep it to the virtual ring. Don't do it in the streets. Do it with a controller. No, I don't mean using the controller as a weapon (although, if you're going to, use the pointy bits for maximum damage and pokery*), use it as a conduit for your aggression. That's the X360A after school special finished, now back to the news.
EA Sports MMA is bringing more fighty mixed martial arts action to Xbox Live today, with a demo of the UFC competitor (although it's probably okay to buy both games) available right now from the Marketplace.
Featuring the game's 'Fight Now' mode with two weight classes, the demo gives you Strikeforce champion, Alistair Overeem and former professional wrestler, Bobby Lashley for the heavyweight class and two middleweight combatants - who are primarily Jiu-Jitsu fighters - Jake Shields and Jason 'Mayhem' Miller.
There's also an interactive tutorial to try out and if you share the demo with friends, you can earn yourself a 'Classic' Randy Couture playable character for the full game, which is due to release on October 19th, 2010 in the US and October 22nd, 2010 in Europe.
* X360A does not condone any such behaviour, so if news comes out about someone being savagely beaten to a pulp with a control pad, we accept no responsibility for said beatings. Unless we're dealing them out personally.
