With 'Forza Motorsport 3 Ultimate Collection' officially coming this October, Microsoft and Turn 10 have today announced that there's a whole lot more content in the pipeline thanks to a partnership with popular UK TV motoring show, BBC's Top Gear.
A long-term partnership, Forza will feature the Top Gear brand in future versions as well as a host of Top Gear related DLC for Forza Motorsport 3, the first dose of which will be 90-minutes of specially edited Top Gear TV footage and 'Stig's Garage Pack, which brings another batch of desirable cars into the Forza fold, pushing the number up to 500.
"Bringing together Top Gear and Forza Motorsport is a natural fit," said Forza franchise director Dan Greenawalt. "Top Gear is all about automotive passion and playing around with cars which is exactly what we deliver with Forza Motorsport games."
"It's incredibly exciting to be teaming up with such a big name game," said Andy Wilman, creative director at Top Gear. "I fear we'll have to be a bit more ambitious and a bit less rubbish when dealing with these chaps."
Stig's Garage Pack is set to include The Koenigsegg CCX, LEXUS LFA, and Mercedes Benz SLS-AMG and will release in October with the Ultimate Collection, which comes with all previously released add-ons and a download code that grants access to these three cars from the Stig pack. There'll also be a Top Gear theme and the aformentioned 90-minutes of footage featuring Jeremy Clarkson, James May and Richard Hammond available as DLC. Phew!
