To celebrate the North American release of the Scott Pilgrim vs. The World movie on Blu-ray and DVD on November 9th, Ubisoft is delivering some new DLC for Scott Pilgrim vs. The World: The Game. Said DLC will introduce Knives Chau as a playable character alongside two new modes and a few gameplay tweaks will be coming as a separate patch to coincide with the new content.
The new modes will be a free-for-all battle arena with plenty of weapons scattered all over the place, and a game of dodgeball, which will no doubt be just as brutal (in a cartoony sorta way) as the rest of the game. The patch meanwhile, will incorporate some balancing adjustments to make the 'Average Joe' difficulty level a bit easier, while sorting out a few bugs and also bringing drop-in/drop-out local co-op to the game.
Where's online multiplayer, you say? Ubisoft has no plans to introduce online multiplayer to Scott Pilgrim, so you'll have to kick it old school and stay offline with friends. There are also no plans for further DLC after this one in November, which will retail for 160 Microsoft Points on the Xbox Live Marketplace.
