As you can probably tell from the glut of Gears of War 3 content over the past few days, we headed out to Epic Games' North Carolina studio earlier this week to see what wonderful things they were doing to reinvigorate the franchise's popular versus multiplayer.
While out there, Gears' Executive Producer, Rod Fergusson, found the time to give the press a look at Epic's newly expanded studios and we were there, armed to the teeth with camera and all, to capture it all and bring it into your living rooms.
The first part of two - it was a long ass tour! - gives you an insight into the outrageousness that are Epic's offices, with Rod introducing us to Main Street, the Arena and a bloody slide - who said your place of work wasn't meant to be a place of fun?
For those interested in a career in games or even if the behind the scenes stuff fascinates you, this is a perfect and unique look at what life is like at one of America's biggest independent developers.
Don't forget to check back tomorrow for part two, which takes a look at the play test lounge, the QA department AKA The Hollow, the impressive gym and the even more impressive mo-cap suite.
Epic's about right.
