EA Sports MMA is limbering up for release this week, so to get you properly prepared to enter the ring, EA Sports has put together a trailer giving an overview of the game's features, including its array of martial arts from around the globe and its online TV broadcast mode.

MMA's TV broadcast mode, enables you to show your created fighter (presumably based upon you) to the world and engage in fights with your rivals in front of a watching crowd. We wouldn't be at all surprised if people wheeled out some freakish created characters. That's what we'd do.

There's plenty more on EA Sports MMA's features, controls and modes, with input from the development team in the video. Keep your cauliflower ears and black eyes open for EA Sports MMA tomorrow in North America and October 22nd in Europe.

  • Fair enough, whatever floats your boat :)
  • EA are fucking hypocrites.
  • Mix the UFC games' gameplay with these features... *dribbles* I played the demo of this and IMO it kinda sucked, but these features look pretty cool!
  • Controls for this game are shite!!!! Was looking forward to this but after demo this game is a NO 4 me now
  • Never really was a MMA fan anyway. But i didnt mind ufc 2010
  • A company cant be a hypocrite. Just because someone at the top once said they never wanted to make an MMA game you think every other CEO and executive should have to stick to that. If that was true no one would be making electric cars as every single manufacturer ruled it out 20 years ago when the technology wasnt there.
  • Besides sticking to your intial viewpoint out of stuborness is one of humanities msot annoying features. It is truly the wise that can keep their mind open and change it with time. Not that im a fan of EA you understnad I hate their money thieving attitude.
  • lol, releasing a demo of this game was the worst thing they could have done. Now everybody was able to find out, at no charge, that this game is... just awful.
  • Well we all know how well Medal of Honor turned out, I'm assuming that EA put as much time into this one?
  • The game isn't that bad. The demo took some getting used to, but it's a pretty fun game. I thought the presentation was very poor. I hope they add commentary to the main game. Otherwise this game will get boring very fast.
  • I was really psyched for this game...until the demo arrived ¬_¬
  • the more i play EA games and watch these guys talk about their games...the less i like EA
  • I've said it since day 1; this game will, in no way, surpass the UFC Undisputed games. And although I was curious, the demo destroyed all chances this game had imo.
  • dude plus...u just heard that ea didnt like mma games comment from dana whie....who knows what was said or done...at that time EA was in mid release hype for FIGHT NIGHT ROUND 4...SO OF COURSE THEY THOUGHT THEY WOULDNT NEED MMA...THATS ALL DEVELOPERS DO...THEY WAIT FOR SOMEONE ELSE TO TRY IT FIRST...SEE HOW GOOD IT GOES..IF IT GOES GOOD WHICH UFC 2009/2010 DID...THEN THEY JUMP ON MMA BANDWAGON.....I THINK THE STRIKING IN THIS GAME IS GREAT...BUT IT WONT LOOK GREAT IF YOUR A STICK FLICKER..YOU NEED 2 BE FLUID WITH YOUR MOTIONS JUST LIKE YOU WERE ON FNR3...ALSO IN DEMO PARRYING SYSTEM WAS WEIRD..HOPE THERES A good tutorial
  • puprple tiger...if your not a hardcore mma fan you wont like this game the litte things im physced....fighing in strikeforce and the jap league will be cool....stomps/ kicks to the head ufc career mode is terrible compared to this......ufc is train.train, rest, fight,,,,,wow how captivating. here ur ratings go up depending on what u do/ how u train people who say this sucked should think this isnt supposed to be like ufc...and a demo is a demo for a reason you dont get full affects......griping bout commentary is gay ufc had the same broken sentences every fight...the same pre/post fight animations....and seeing dana whites video blog on the game lol one more time will make me lose my mind..just me or does dana look like a cancer patient in ufc und. lol
  • why is it when you people get a control scheme u need to master you hate it...and when ufc has button mashing striking you hate it...i know why// ITS BECAUSE TOTAL CONTROL IS A CHALLENGE TO THE PPL WHO HATED THE DEMO..I GUARENTEE YOU PLAYED TWICE...DIDNT KNOW WHAT U WERE DOING SO U QUIT EVEN TRYING...I PLAYED DEMO LOTS AND I MASTERED THE SCHEME ITS LIKE A REAL FIGHT PICKING OPENINGS...STOP CRYING....OO BUTTON MASHINGS LAME...OO STICK STRIKING IS LAME..GO PLAY WII IF U WANT EZ CONTROLS
  • @15/16 You need to calm down bro. It's not that serious. I was also defending the game, as I plan to get it. I commented about commentary because I find sports games without them to get boring. Not once did I reference UFC's game in anyway. I agree that Total Strike Control is a great control scheme, but that it takes time to get used to just like all games. The presentation wasn't poor just due to commentary, that was just my main issue. The replays don't even make the action look cool. I skipped them every time in the demo. I've played against both the computer and my friend, and I enjoy playing the game. Presentation helps though.
  • CANT EVERYONE JUST GET ALONG AND WATCH KUNG FU PANDA??????
  • Not sure if this is gona be any better than UFC games
  • 19: Try the demo. It ain't. lol
