Costume Quest
Costume Quest Launch Trailer Is a Pre-Halloween Treat

From the minds of Double Fine comes Costume Quest, a game set during Halloween as kids hit the streets on a mission to acquire buckets full of candy while wearing all manner of costumes, from a knight with a dustbin lid for a shield, a robot and a unicorn.

Costume Quest's twist is that with the power of imagination, these costumes can become all-powerful, transforming them into fully-realised fantasy versions of themselves. So, a kid with a cardboard tube on his head becomes a towering mech, an innocent looking girly unicorn costume transforms into a huge my little pony-type thing that can shoot rainbow beams from its horn and so on.

There are loads more costumes to collect, wear and use as you fight monsters in Costume Quest, which is available from today in Europe and is out now in North America for 1200 Microsoft Points.

The only thing I can complain about is lack of co-op. Even turn based RPGs can be co-op.

When are they going to learn? More people will buy these games if they sell them for 800 msp. 1200 is just too much. Most will wait until it goes down to in price with deal of the week.

@3: You know that there are tons of series with that twist, like Buffy the Vampire Slayer

I've been waiting for this game to come out! Bought it as soon as it was added to the marketplace. Very happy with this game. Definitely worth the 1200 pts in my opinion!!!

I've already put a few hours into this and it's amazing.

Everyone should buy it, or at least try the demo.

1200 is too much. If it were 800 I would be all over it.

I played the trial yesterday and absolutely loved it. I will definitely be picking this up soon. Its just too bad it came out the same day as Super Meat Boy or I'd already have it. $15 does seem a little steep when you compare it to some of the other games on XBLA, but I will support Double Fine because they deserve it.
