Upcoming XBLA shooter, Breach, started life as a simulation for the US miltary, until developer Atomic Games saw the potential for releasing it as a hardcore military title. Breach enables you to blast your way through walls and ceilings realistically apparently, presenting players to experience urban warfare in the same way that real-life military Operators do when they train.
Now Atomic is introducing a Hardcore Mode to Breach, alongside a new multiplayer Team Deathmatch game type called "Sole Survivor", which strips away everything from the game's HUD including ammo counters, radar, crosshairs and so on for an ultra realistic and exacting game. There's no respawns in Sole Survivor, so once you're dead, you're dead.
Breach also incorporates 'active cover technologies' to simulate deteriorating cover as well as accurately simulating the range, velocity and calibre of small arms fire.
Breach is due to launch on the Xbox Live Arcade in January 2011 for under £20. Check out the ten new screens in the gallery.
