Ubisoft's GRAW Leaderboard Reset Didn't Go As Planned

There’s three things that you can almost guarantee in life:
- You’ll always lose one sock when washing laundry.
- When you wait ages for a bus, two will come along at once.
- Whatever can go wrong, will go wrong.
Number 3 sums up yesterday’s Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter leaderboard reset, which left many gamers – a few who have come to me today – wasting more than a few hours last night for a goal that is still seemingly impossible.
So yeah, we all know about the Ghost Recon leaderboards, right? Those three ridiculous top of the leaderboard achievements and all that jazz. Well yesterday’s reset was meant to give everyone a chance at snagging them – or should we say, an easier chance at snagging them than previously existed.
Unfortunately though, it seems that the reset was not universal and furthermore, it seems that anyone who was actually in-game when the reset happened, didn’t get their stats reset after all.
The result? The leaderboard is still littered with rank 24s and such, however, it seems as if the rank 25s were neutered regardless. As for everyone else... it depends on what you were doing at the time to whether your rank was reset.
Ubisoft are currently aware of the problem and are looking into it. When there’s an official comment, we’ll let you know. For now though, just know that last night was a bit of a disaster and chances are, there may be another reset in the coming weeks/months.
In all honesty though, Ubisoft is probably better off changing the requirement for the achievements before they have a mutiny on their hands – sorry, been watching too much Battlestar Galactica this week!
We’ll keep you updated when the devs respond, but for now, consider these 3 achievements still as annoying as ever.
