Too bloody for me.Friday, November 19, 2010 @ 06:42 AM

I didn't know Namco Bandai made this game. I wonder if you'll be able to beat the crap out of a Katamari. I've been watching this game for a while and I can't wait to play it.Friday, November 19, 2010 @ 06:46 AM
It kind of bothers me that it doesn't even look like the blood is spraying onto the camera, it looks like it just appears on it. Maybe it has to do with how far away the camera is from the player?Friday, November 19, 2010 @ 06:46 AM
Yeah that's a real man's game :).Friday, November 19, 2010 @ 06:47 AM
Awesome! Cant wait! Bring on the gooooooooooore! lolFriday, November 19, 2010 @ 06:49 AM
next week =DFriday, November 19, 2010 @ 06:58 AM
Finally game that isn't afraid to show some gore. Feel like gore was all the rage in the 90's, then it just died. Glad it's making a comeback with this and the new Mortal Kombat.Friday, November 19, 2010 @ 07:03 AM
I'm looking forward more than ever to play this game! I can't wait!Friday, November 19, 2010 @ 07:08 AM
The game looks pretty cool. I dont know why but it really reminds me of Brutal Legend (which seriously kicked ass) for some reason lol.Friday, November 19, 2010 @ 07:17 AM
Whatever. It just looks like another E rated game right up there with Kinectimals.Friday, November 19, 2010 @ 07:18 AM
@10 Agreed - Blood plus Metal soundtrack = WIN Would be ideal if this came with a 'proper' metal track list in the same way Brutal Legend did.Friday, November 19, 2010 @ 07:20 AM
...and I just checked out the Oct 8th posting about the tracklist. This just became a must buy for me....Friday, November 19, 2010 @ 07:27 AM
Let me guess, banned in Australia? Poor sods are a bit faint of heart ;)Friday, November 19, 2010 @ 07:32 AM
This just might be the game I've been looking for for years now. I've been longing for a game with stupidly excessive amounts of blood and gore and this looks to be it. I cannot wait. :DFriday, November 19, 2010 @ 07:44 AM
im all for blood guts and gore but tbh.. looks crap will get it when its £5.. about a week after release..Friday, November 19, 2010 @ 08:01 AM
What an intense storyline! ... ...Friday, November 19, 2010 @ 08:04 AM
Somewhere members of the Red Cross are pissed.Friday, November 19, 2010 @ 08:14 AM
I dont think I will pick this up.Friday, November 19, 2010 @ 08:24 AM
@14 took the words right out of my mouth as yes this game will no doubt be banned here in Australia either that or it will be heavily edited to fit a MA15+ rating.Friday, November 19, 2010 @ 08:29 AM
Looks alright. This seems like a game that doesn't have a lot of replay value after you beat the game 1 time.Friday, November 19, 2010 @ 08:50 AM
@21 you can tell that off 44 secounds?Friday, November 19, 2010 @ 09:19 AM
Dunno. From the trailers I've seen it looks like an *extremely* generic modern day beat-em-up like X-Blades or Dante's Inferno. Just without the quality of story Dante's Inferno has. It's huge catch and reedeming quality seems to be the fact it has a ginormous amount of blood and gore. And...well...if you're willing to drop $60 on x-blades that trades in a thong for gallons of blood? More power to you.Friday, November 19, 2010 @ 09:44 AM
So much blood...I LOVE IT! I just hope there's a good game underneath it all. :/Friday, November 19, 2010 @ 10:06 AM
The music is hella tight. Thank God they're remixing some of the old classic tunes in a rock and roll style format.Friday, November 19, 2010 @ 10:24 AM
I'd like to see the original without it being toned down (Like it was when it was a retail game) on XBLA. As for the trailer I think it will be a rental to see what the game is like.Friday, November 19, 2010 @ 10:56 AM
#26 If you pre-order this game at Best Buy you get a code to download all three original Splatterhouses. http://us.splatterhousegame.com/index2.htmlFriday, November 19, 2010 @ 10:57 AM
#26 Just click on buy now and you`ll see what I`m talking about.Friday, November 19, 2010 @ 10:58 AM
I remember playing the first Splatterhouse for the Sega Genesis. That game was loads of fun. This looks pretty good too, hopefully it can live up to the series ... even though they are no longer around. :(Friday, November 19, 2010 @ 11:02 AM
#29 If I recall the Sega Genesis version of Splatterhouse had green blood and the turbo graphix 16 version had red blood.Friday, November 19, 2010 @ 11:05 AM
Don't like the way the screen gets covered in blood after each attack...Friday, November 19, 2010 @ 11:22 AM
I thought we'd all got over this kind of cheesy crap, not to mention that the blood effect hitting the screen is awful. If they're going to do that it should be as though a camera is following the player so the blood arcing off the hits splatters on the lens and not some random splashes that bear no 'semblence to the action.Friday, November 19, 2010 @ 11:34 AM
I dunno... It has a LOT of blood. But looks extremly mediocre, tbh...... Pass for me.Friday, November 19, 2010 @ 01:21 PM
head crushing mother fucking awesomnessFriday, November 19, 2010 @ 03:05 PM
Man this game looks sick!!!! Played the originals back in the day , 1st day purchase for me . . . . but looks like im only gonna be able to play it one day :( I deploy to Afghanistan on Nov. 27th . . . well piss!!Friday, November 19, 2010 @ 03:07 PM
Cant wait to play this, but I must admit, it doesn't look like it will have alot of variety other than kiling a bunch of enemies. Also I'm not all that fond of the level designs as of yet, they dont look "mansiony" enough like in the old Splatterhouse games.Friday, November 19, 2010 @ 03:20 PM
sweetFriday, November 19, 2010 @ 08:02 PM
the originals were epic. this is going to be a good game, plus lots of blood = win for me :D . 1st day for sure.Friday, November 19, 2010 @ 10:26 PM
ugh, blood for bloods sake isn't impressiveFriday, November 19, 2010 @ 11:50 PM
Exactly what I need after a long hard day at the officeSaturday, November 20, 2010 @ 05:36 AM
@1 lol, I read your comment before clicking the vid thinking 'can't be that much blood'. Wow! they certainly didn't hold back. :) Probably not day 1 purchase but will definitely pick up at some pointSaturday, November 20, 2010 @ 07:34 AM
Yeah Man! Purchased! Should get that weds mereckonsSaturday, November 20, 2010 @ 03:07 PM
I'm not sure I like the whole jean shorts thing. I don't want to feel like I'm controlling a 'roid raging John Cena in a hockey mask. Hopefully there will be different skins for this game. As for the blood, there was another game the emphasized the amount of blood it displayed. That game is called Fairytale Fights. That said, I really hope this game is good. I enjoyed the first game on Genesis and am mildly excited about this installment.Saturday, November 20, 2010 @ 03:26 PM
Yay!! Can't wait!!Sunday, November 21, 2010 @ 01:10 AM
Looks interesting, i gotta give it that but it does look like it wouldn't have much of a story though I've never played the originals so I wouldn't have a clue. But alas I bet my 2 cents that Australia fucks this game up the ass.Sunday, November 21, 2010 @ 01:53 AM
I think Australia banned this game before it was thought up :(Sunday, November 21, 2010 @ 02:18 AM
Still half expecting this to be banned here in Australia. Fingers crossed though.Sunday, November 21, 2010 @ 02:27 AM
I am willing to bet that this game will be so ridiculously repetitive that it will be in the bargain bin in no time.Sunday, November 21, 2010 @ 03:49 AM
niceSunday, November 21, 2010 @ 04:48 AM
God this game looks horrible.Monday, November 22, 2010 @ 05:31 AM
yep it looks like this may very well be what i thought it would be...a dissapointment. its a shame too. they could have done much better for a remake of a classic.

Splatterhouse was never this blood-drenched and extreme on the Mega Drive was it? We've never seen so much blood, except maybe in The Shining where the blood rides in the elevator and sloshes all about the place. It seems it's not called Splatterhouse for nothing then, as there's certainly plenty of splatter, that's for sure.
In the trailer, we see hockey mask-sporting musclebound hero, Rick Taylor squashing heads, punching beasts into chunky ketchup and then pulling heads clean off enemy's shoulders, with a big fountain of the red stuff spraying all over the place. Yes, there will be blood.
It all looks like some delightfully overblown, mindless violence and reckless fun though. Whether the actual game can deliver on the promise of more buckets of blood to come, will all be revealed when Splatterhouse releases on November 26th, 2010.
