Castlevania: Harmony of Despair - the latest 2D entry in the series, which hit XBLA in August - has two new characters available to download now, expanding the roster of whip-cracking, magic-wielding protagonists.

Yoko Belnades and Julius Belmont are now on the Xbox Live Marketplace for 240 Microsoft Points each and can be added to your download queue here, if you like. Yoko is a witch of the Belmont clan, capable of using powerful elemental magic to counteract the weakness of her physical attacks. Julius meanwhile, being related to Lords of Shadow's Gabriel Belmont, has the usual array of weaponry, such as throwing knives and of course, the iconic whip.

Castlevania: Harmony of Despair is available for 1200 Microsoft Points, offering some classic 2D side-scrolling action in HD. Yoko Belnades and Julius Belmont can be snapped up for 240 MSP each.

Loving Yoko and Julius so far, Yoko just need a little boost before becoming a boss killer.

Day late and a dollar short Konami. Actually a few months late and a dollar too much. For as good as this game is the dlc is total failure.

More Harmony of Despair content = awesome no matter the price

Oh, and Lords of Shadow is a reboot of the series, so Julius wouldn't be related to Gabriel...The first Belmont in the old series time line was Leon Belmont, from Lament of Innocence... /nerdvaniarant

This game is not good, you cannot consider it as a real castlevania. Its only good for some multiplayer matches.

I believe they've made a huge mistake by not adding achievements for the previous DLC and the new characters.

I was so let down by HoD.. I love the DS games, but Harmony falls short in so many places. They should have just did another Metroid-vania and made it as good (or better) than the DS games.

Why the hell would I pay 3 bucks per character. The game's already steep itself at 15 bucks. PS black friday deals are up on xbox live. Splosion man is 160, TMNT-Reshelled, Greed corp, and starfighter lightsaber is 160. trials HD, halo ce, san andreas and creedence clearwater revival pack 01 are 400.

If this game was on sale 50% I would totally buy it. Not worth $15 IMO. DLC on the other hand is way too expensive as in a character for $3.... maybe if they boht cost $3, so again 50% off^^

I've spent more time playing HoD than Reach or Black Ops.

Just saying.

Content is way to expensive for what you get. Characters took way to long to release. They took way to much time for me to even consider dropping the outrages points for these two. Oh lets not forget the totally awesome music packs...

If I buy these it is ONLY to support Konami and Castlevania as I love the series. They are overpriced though. If it was any other series I'd be ranting.

@14 Agreed. I'd scored all the achievements and lost interest long before the DLC started dropping. What's there just isn't enough to get me interested in the game again, let alone justify paying outrageous prices for a map, some new songs, and a handful of characters.

If there's a deal of the week somewhere down the road where all the DLC is bundled into one pack for like 400 MS points, which more than likely won't happen, I'll consider getting it then. But for now, that's too much for too little.
