Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood
Ubi Survey Hints At Features For Assassin's Creed III
Written By
View author's profile

This weekend, we found a curious Assassin's Creed survey in our email inbox, asking how much we like Ezio's latest adventure in Brotherhood and what features we'd like to see in the next Assassin's Creed title. There seems to be a whole host of ideas being kicked around at the moment if the UK-based survey is any kind of indication with things like tactical bombs, upgraded assassin's blades and more being touted. This is just the tip of the iceberg however, as improvements to multiplayer, co-operative play and improved Eagle Vision is also seemingly being considered.

Of course, the outcome as to whether these features will make it into the next Creed depends on their popularity as a result of the survey, but we can't imagine many people having an aversion to the idea of Assassin's Creed co-op. As Ubisoft Montreal has proved with Brotherhood's multiplayer, it can make what seems like a brave and difficult concept work. Who'd have thought AC multiplayer would be so compulsive?

A forum member over on NeoGAF has had the good sense to list the potential gameplay features that might be a possibility for an Assassin's Creed sequel with a continuation of Ezio's story up for the vote or a completely new story with a new assassin in a different historical setting.

Take a look through the survey questions below, and imagine what you'd answer. And in case you're wondering, we said no to Facebook integration, a big yes to a new story and a massive thumbs up to co-op.

1) An upgrade to the assassin's blade that increases the fluidity and speed of free-running
2) An enhanced Eagle Vision: see the patrol paths of guards, spot clues to complex navigation puzzles, detect when characters are lying during interrogations, etc.
3) An intuitive crafting tool that lets you create custom bombs from dozens of ingredients found throughout the game world
4) Tactical use of a variety of bombs suited to unique contexts and situations (smoke, poison, flash, explosive, etc.)
5) An additional objective where you and your Assassins guild fight against the Templars to gain control of a city, district by district
6) Playing as a new Assassin, in a different historical time period
7) A continuation of Ezio's story as the leader of the Assassins, set outside of Italy
8) Deeper connectivity between all the Assassin's Creed projects (eg. an action you make on the Facebook game will impact your game experience on the console; events that you read about in the comics will be related to the storyline of the videogames, etc.)
9) Online Cooperative Mode
10) Offline Cooperative Mode
11) The availability of new maps for the Multiplayer
12) A choice of additional Multiplayer characters with new skill-sets
13) Playing new Multiplayer modes
14) A deeper team-based Multiplayer experience (guilds / squads that have common objectives, new tools for clan management, etc.)
15) A customization of the Multiplayer experience (logos, avatars, objects, team names, etc.)

Interesting stuff, we think you'll agree.

What i would personally like to see would be the removal of the VS mode, More focus on the single player experience & NO SCRIPTED B.S that ruined the second game.

Return to the roots of the original where YOU decided how to take the target out YOUR way, Not move to point A then Sneak to point B, Wait for target, Now press X.

Then i MAY actually bother to pick it up rather than look on it as yet ANOTHER ruined franchise (I.e The elder scrolls)

I would LOVE to continue Ezio but he was in his mid 40's when we last left him. Would actually like to see Desmond's story come to a close if not, at least do something with another Assassin that ties in. I hear a lot of people just throwing in random locations - Feudal Japan, France, etc but it would have to tie in with the lore and where the Pieces of Eden went/are. Regardless, III would have to be a big part involving Desmond vs Abstergo be it in the modern day or if they actually find a link to memories in sepearate Animi.
Who knows but I still love the detail Ubi is putting in.

Yes to most things. I would be a big fan of a customizable multiplayer character!
I am tired of Ezio however now, as long as the game is set as it currently is I don't believe anything will surpass AC : 2.
I believe with an entire new setting in history, although with a linking story, that will be the game that surpasses AC : 2.

@ 4 - Where was all that? I played through AC2 3 times (didn't finish 3rd) but actually did many things different ways. Brotherhood didn't deviate far from that and the MP tied in with the SP awesomely. I'm still having a ball with it. It's unique and still feels like Assassin's Creed. To each their own I guess but their roots were what people wanted changed since it was much more linear. All you were able to choose was how to get to your target. They just evolved.

I want everything in this list but Ezio. God im getting so bored of him. They need to move on and do something different. Brotherhood was so boring and repetitive. It was just ACII with multiplayer. If this franchise doesnt do something different im done. I did think the multiplayer was fun though.

I thought ACB had facebook connectivity...or does it mean in a different way?

cause I thought that Legacy game on FB could slightly affect things (in terms of your brotherhoods levels) already

I dont have the game yet, but I thought this was already going on?

im all for the deeper connectivity. rather than spin-off here, spin-off there, have them all play a part in a bigger, overlying story. have them all come together at some point, or have them all relate to one another in some kind of way.

then tie it all together in one, massive, final game and end it on a high note.

No more Ezio, two games is enough, i would like a new ancestor of Desmonds to be introduced set in a different time period, or maybe even have Altair return, compared to Altair, Ezio is a boy scout.

why would anyone want a THIRD game with ezio as the star? i'm not saying AC2 wasn't great, but part of the promise of the series is that it could take place in any time period with countless varied types of protagonists - samurai, cowboys, 19-20th century soldiers, and on down the list.

it would be a huge mistake not to take the sequels to new and interesting places. the gameplay can change in many ways and still retain the predatorial feel of the previous games.

@ 14 - BUH?!?!?!?! I'll admit, I was all about Altair when I first played. The preview of AC2 detailing Ezio didn't impress much. I thought he was too much of a pretty boy but his story is bigger, better and much more dramatic than Altair's. I loved watching his progression from amorous scamp into the leader of the Brotherhood. Everything from his families treacherous murder to his alliance with Leonardo, Machiavelli and so on. The final memory of AC2 just heading to The St. Peters was amazing and how they brought 1400 Italy to life was sheer amazement. I do agree that Ezio shouldn't overstay his welcom but you can't deny he wasn't a badass character.

@14 is right.
I don't know why they dropped Altair out of the first game and now they want to keep Azio. Altair was a master, and Ozio is a boy scout indeed compared to Altair. I want rather Altair return or a completely new Character.

I would like to see (although it could go either way) is the main character be Desmond. However, every two or three sequences he has to go into the Animus to different ancestors each time in different time perdiods for a brief amount of time.

@ 17 - Story progression. Altair had at least one other title on the PSP. Not sure if there was another but Altair wasn't as dynamic. Master yes. His story was practically done aside from the Maria part. Ezio was beginning his life as to Who He Would Become. People knock ACB but it ties in very well to the story. It's a very fine line walking series with it's mystery and such. The actual 3rd game is going to have to feature a decent amount of Desmond. I have to assume its him vs. Abstergo b/c of 2 factors - 1) The Bleeding Effect. They've been pointing towards it as a major point for a "final showdown" since the end of AC1. Each game featured more and more of Desmond utilizing the skills. 2) AC:B MP - It's tied to the SP b/c it's Abstergo "training" for going up against the assassins using their own Animus'. It's going to collide and I'm just hoping it isn't going to spiral completely out of control. I'm sure Ezio and Altair will cameo somehow but I truly feel it's going to culminate with Desmond.

I really like the idea of expanding eagle vision. I think they could do a lot with that, including the search for clues to find someone. It worked great in Batman: AA, I can only imagine they would make it even better. I also like the idea of crafting items, but more on weapons and armor and less bombs and potions. If they had some sort of rare items drop system this game would own all.

@ 21 - I don't get it though. Ezio accomplished more and gained more. Hell, they finally introduce the Crossbow in ACB that was teased as a mistake in the AC1 trailer. Like i said, to each their own. Ezio is much more dynamic. I found him much more disciplined and badass due to all he's lost and still managed to compose himself as he did. Altair was too arrogant at first which at first I dug but like I said, I found Ezio much more interesting all around.

Leave Ezio alone already! Sheesh! And ffs no facebook crap. Now the rest I don't care, so long as they keep pumping out awesome games.

Don't care too much for coop, AC is more of a single player game to me, although it would be really cool to see something like Splinter Cell's coop. It's even made by the same company, so why not?

Think about it. you'd have multiplayer, singleplayer story mode and then a separate coop mode with a prequel story and different characters to play with, like SC Conviction's two spies. What about that?

@23. Azios story is done. We saw him raising up from the bottom to the top. But Altair...we only saw a tiny bit of his story. Not the beginning and not the end. There is much more room for Altair stuff that would make sense than more Ezio stuff. Also, you never feel as a master when you play as Ezio. There was this awesome feeling while playing as Altair, you feel like boss. Even in brotherhood I feel like I am the beginner like I was at the beginning of Ezios story. I also don't care for Desmond at all, I want to play in a historical setting, not in the present.

I am not looking foreward to the third game. I fear there will indeed be too much Desmond and not such a good oldschool historical setting like in AC1. Also, too much social shit like facebook, multiplayer, coop... I don't think AC needs this. I don't like those...I want a solid single player where I can get 1000 GS all from single player and not for linking with facebook or farming hours of Multiplayer. But its just my oppinion.

Oh and by the way, bring AC to Lisbon already! Plenty of stuff to do there. Awesome city to explore, with lots of rooftops and cool vistas. Plus it's better to explore a place most people don't know that well, like happened with Florence and the other italian towns.

I would enjoy a new assassin in a new time period. Ezio has run his course already.
As for Facebook connectivity, I would have to say no to that. The Facebook game for Brotherhood was not fun in the slightest, and the rewards were pathetic.

Most interesting is #1. To me it sounds like you assassinate people while moving/running. Such as maybe running by and stabbing someone without slowing down? That would be pretty cool, though it would be unfair in multiplayer. Truth be told I don't like Brotherhood's multiplayer too much. It's very unbalanced.
Online co-op would be a welcome addition though.

@ 31 - Ironically, I don't just want another game with platforming and assassination - I got into this for the story. It's deep and controversial - right up my alley. On your comment though, Yes, Ezio's story is basically done but it played in. There really can't be anything earlier with Altair b/c it doesn't tie into the story. They even pointed in the first game that where Altair's story begins, is the catalyst for the whole series. It's when Vidic learned about the Apple and where it started since this is the era the Templars were formed (again, i love books on the subject by Dan Brown and Raymond Khourey). I would love to see more of Altair myself but it would be pointless storywise.

@ 31 - I don't know where you're getting that Altair felt more badass. He was so limited! Again, I like his charachter type but he wasn't dynamic enough. He was a few steps above Isaac Clarke in Dead Space only Altair spoke. Ezio had way more going for him in terms of weaponry, skill, depth, and so on. I'll quit arguing with you though since this is going down the road of "Well, MY guy is better..." lol

I'd like a New assassin...
I think each assassin should have 2 games like they have been doing...

Some of the things they suggested sound pretty cool, but others not so much... Why didnt they add

16) Would you like us to begin operation milk the shit out of AC Series?

Yes i know they've only made 4 games whatever... But one year apart still sounds about risky to me especialy with AC:Brotherhood not feeling as Polished as the other 2 games.

Hope they give both Offline co-op and online co-op. And maybe some more VR missions, and sort of make it into what its like on the MGS VR missions.

@ 38 - Where did I say we should milk the series? All I did was make valid points to the series. I've always felt that it should be a standard Trilogy. A few side stories are accepted but I don't want to see this turn into Call of Duty.
Even people try to call Halo milking the series and I would agree if it were accurate. If ODST, Halo Wars and Reach featured MC, yes, then you're milking it. If AC featured (playable) Altair, Ezio and Desmond in every game, then yes, series = milked but they're doing a fine job IMO. Game 1 - Very little Desmond, All Altair. Also their starting point (gameplay) which was repetitive. I enjoyed it. Game 2 - Expanded on main character, advanced more with Desmond, touched on Altair, Vidic returned. Game 2.5 - Finish Ezio's story and how the Brotherhood survived to present date, continue Bleeding Effect with Desmond and overall Doomsday scenario, Vidic begins training his Templars.
The final game should culminate as I think though - it's going to finalize with Desmond most likely. It has to but as a person who likes to wait until it happens - nobody will know until announcement. Point being, I never said milk the franchise but it's a damn good one to try IMO.

No Facebook connectivity please, I mean really, why?
A new Assassin is what I'd like to see - and if Ezio is to make any appearance in the next one, make it so it's only a kameo, or some interaction between you and him. Like making him being your new best bud, or possibly your mentor or advisor?
It's not like I dislike Ezio or anything, I just think he has done his part - I mean he liberated Rome, finished off Cesare, and both acquired and hid the Apple of Eden, what more can you ask of the man? AND he's getting old and grumpy :P

Heyy Lionhead made fable.
Lionhead, they fuck up alot of stuff, Thats why i suggested Multiplayer and Local so people have the choice, All they would have to do it put a line through the center of the screen old school style, im never too fussy about losing half my screen, And i prefer to communicate with my co-op buddy right next to me so i can point stuff out instead of trying to explain it down the mic.

And lionhead did not do split screen, they did some Share screen crap, and i could see how that would completely suck if they put that into AC.

@ 48 - Yeah I know which is why I didn't go out for Fable 3 but I promised a lot of people on here that I'd stop going off about my Fable beef. but you said " All they would have to do it put a line through the center of the screen old school style " - That's Split Screening. Lionhead did the Rubberband-Belt notion but it was the same principle. I dunno, in this day and age I would hope they would do away with most Split-Screen and let it be Full-rendered Free-roam Co-op. Weren't the best of games but Mercs 2, Army of 2, Crackdown, etc were really at their peak of fun with friends. AC would have to incorporate free-roam co-op due to how well the MP plays (How it plays, not how people like/dislike it). I am fussy about half the screen. I got a big new TV and I want to enjoy all 42 inches of it for ME lol.

As much as I have come to love Ezio, I really want a new character and setting for the next game.

I really want to continue the story throughout the centuries and see a whole other time period with a whole new story and setting.

We need to remember that in the end AC isn't about Ezio; it's about Desmond and his various ancestors, of which Ezio was only one.

I really really want a new assassin. I was a litlle disepointed seeing that ezio still is the main character of the third real AC game. While they've said before that in each new game they'll introduce e new Assassin. So for this new game, especially if it's AC III, i want some new stuff. For the character AND the era. @ 52 - Brotherhood isn't the "real" 3rd AC game. It's classified as 2.5 due to it being Ezio's continuation. A new story or the finishing of Desmond's tale will be in the third which is most likely b/c Ubisoft has said the games will end in a traditional Triolgy. There may or may not be side-games which due to the success of each game, it's very likely.

facebooks gotta be a no no, but the new assassin is a must, we cant have 3 major games with Ezio....i mean the guys pretty pro but i think its about time they either braught a new assassin in or at least made it more about Desmond .....rather than the character in the animus

Ezio cant star in another game. The Animus works by loading genetic memories, you can only load the memories up until his last child was conceived. Now, playing as someone new with Ezio as an NPC, THAT is possible.

Altair continuation isn't possible either, you see the last memory of him in AC2, when his child was conceived.

@50
well... I dont see the problem with split screen... What fable2 did was a mess... I have a feeling you dont play much split screen, You can free roam in alot of split screen games, the only downside to split screen games is having your screen split in half, Ubisoft have done some pretty good split screen games in the past tho, Splinter cell games for example. Not all split screen games have to limit the player like fable2 did.

I dont think there would be much problem, as long as it was a choice and the option to play co-op online was still arround.

next game starts with ezio and u have him all leveled up for the first mission but hes like 60 and gets killed off and you start the game with his apprentice which is actually his son so desmond can still use the animus.. watch that happen for real

@ 57 - No not for a loooong time. I have two descriptions of Split Screen. The much applauded free-roam (Mercs2, AOT, etc) is my big draw. Then there's 2 Player. 2 Player has always been more of what Fable 2 did. You're both confined to the same screen and limited mobility. But again, trying to veer off going on a 3 paragraph F U Molyneux rant. That aside, I was on a decent sized but old tube-Tv for the longest time and even split screen was visually annoying. I dunno, for a series like Assassin's, the world and everything to do is just too beautiful and awesome to confine to half a screen.
On the entire argument, I would like to see Ezio as a cameo, maybe even witness his final moments but it's got to end with Desmond. Also curious if there will be another Minerva/Juno character and curious to know who the voices were in the credits.
*tears hair out*

I would prefer a new protagonist in a new setting (Feudal Japan Maybe) with the option for co-op that doesn't affect the single player experience. Think Modern Warfare 2 and the Spec Ops game mode. I really enjoy having my single player experiences and co-op usually is an added bonus, but for AC I would rather have 2 separate assassins in their own side story and co-op through that.

I felt that the multiplayer in ACB is very fun, and doesn't take away from the single player experience in the least bit. The only thing I have issues with are the achievements, and the fact that it can be hard to connect to a game.

Overall I'm very pleased with ACB and I enjoyed it alot, I think it's time to let Ezio rest, and I would love to continue with Desmond. I want to see a new Assassin in a new location so that we can tie in the 3 (4) stories together. That is something I love about the AC series is how the stories connect with each other.

Lastly Screw Facebook Anything!

Since it's probably a given that AC3 isn't until 2012 and Ubisoft seems dead set on making another AC game in 2011, I'd be perfectly fine with a conclusion of Ezio's story as the premise for next years release.

Co-op: YES, SC: Conviction Deniable Ops style. Remove the multi and focus on SP (and co-op).

An upgrade the the blade to run faster doesn't make any sense, unless it's the assassinate via a throat slit or something while running.
Enhanced Eagle Vision yes.
Crafting, ehhhhh.
Tactical bombs, maybe.
Fighting with the guild and having them actually be useful, lord yes.
New assassin? Fuck yes.
More Ezio? God no. He's not likable anymore
Facebook? Excuse me while I vomit all over that idea.
Co-Op, no thanks.
Multiplayer? How about you concentrate on the matchmaking not taking half an hour before you worry about new modes, maps, skill sets, characters and all that other stuff.

What I want is some risk. There is no fear of death in that game except for the occasional "Ooops, I just jumped into open air off a building". Even so, you can usually survive all but the most extreme falls.

You can also heal mid-strike as you're dying in combat? 15 medicine? 20 health diamonds?

No fear in this game -- they BETTER have a good story or make me feel like a badass or have awesome multiplayer or something.

I've had enough of 15th Century Italy, it's great but I want more. And a big pass on the gang territories idea. It's unoriginal and obnoxious, unless they could do something new with it.

@67 Your somewhat my hero right now and almost 100% agree with all said. Except they should have co-op. IMO if they do have co-op make it like the MW2 spec ops or have a campiagn based off of two people that is playable with or without another (ex. Army of Two) and make it drop in drop out. If it isn't one of those two and is just like Halo where it adds another character that doesn't make any sense of why they are there or if it is the Fable 2 rubber band co-op DON'T ADD IT!

if the animus takes you to the past, which it does, then someone far in the future should come back to Desmonds time but when he's learnt everything, and then play through as Desmond being the bad ass fighting all the abstergo agents. and have co-op only missions unrelated to the single player story.

All throughout AC2 & ACB we keep hearing about the other teams around the world trying to get other Pieces of Eden. How about we drop Desmond & his team in favor of switching to another team for a while. Don't get me wrong, I loved the character of Desmond, but how many of his ancestors can we really visit? There are simply too many places throughout time for one man's family to be at all of them.

Enough with Ezio. Just like with Assassin's Creed II, a new assassin was introduced. Brotherhood was a continuation of Assassin Creed II's storyline, but with a new number should come a new assassin. Or just a Desmond only game for the third one, which seems to be the direction they're heading in.

Ezio has had his time to shine, and he;s a great character. Don't get me wrong AC2 was one of my favorite games and surprises of last year and Brotherhood is a great game as well, but lets have another anesetor. Desmond's heritage is obviously full of unique assassins that have had a huge effect on the apple of eden and all, I'm sure the writer can make a new character that's even better. His development with the story and people have grown so much, from the less then stellar first Assassin's Creed to the phenominal second installment and I haven't beaten ACB yet but I'm almost there.

Maybe I'm forgetting something as I've not played an AC in a long time, but everyone is saying that Ezio is Desmond's ancestor. I seem to recall from AC2 that he isn't, and that he was Subject 16's (or someone else's at least), and he was able to "borrow" Ezio in order to find the Piece of Eden.

I have been reading the comments and some of my ideas have changed but now I'm set on what I want in new game.

1) An upgrade to the assassin's blade that increases the fluidity and speed of free-running

I don't want it to be too easy to run and kill like sprinting to a target and stabbing them while not stopping. Might take away a lot from the game by making it very easy.

2) An enhanced Eagle Vision: see the patrol paths of guards, spot clues to complex navigation puzzles, detect when characters are lying during interrogations, etc.

Very interesting. Could be very fun like AA Batmans detective mode. It seems like a very good idea.

3) An intuitive crafting tool that lets you create custom bombs from dozens of ingredients found throughout the game world
4) Tactical use of a variety of bombs suited to unique contexts and situations (smoke, poison, flash, explosive, etc.)

I fear that the game may get boring as we near moderns times but it would be cool to experience sabotage work with bombs and other ways. I would like to be able to create diversions to ditract the people and guards so I can sneak into a place. It would make take a step back into AC1 when you had multiple ways to the target and could pick which one you wanted to take.

5) An additional objective where you and your Assassins guild fight against the Templars to gain control of a city, district by district

Now that is what I am talking about. I would start fights with multiple guards in Brotherhood just so I could call in all my assassin's and we could have epic battles. This would be a lot of fun.

6) Playing as a new Assassin, in a different historical time period
7) A continuation of Ezio's story as the leader of the Assassins, set outside of Italy

I would rather have the new assassin in a new period. Altair had two games to explain his story and Ezio now has his. I think it would be better to move on and let ezio rest. Altair was badass and ezio was cool. We also got to see both characters grow and change. I think it is time to start new life as a new assassin. I also want to learn more about Desmond and maybe explain some more of the story of the future.

8) Deeper connectivity between all the Assassin's Creed projects (eg. an action you make on the Facebook game will impact your game experience on the console; events that you read about in the comics will be related to the storyline of the videogames, etc.)

No no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no
................... I made my point.

9) Online Cooperative Mode
10) Offline Cooperative Mode

Co-op is a must. Having siblings, I have always wanted to play along with one of them. One way they could do multiplayer is the same way they did it in Splinter Cell: Conviction with a separate storyline and new characters. Another way is having player 1 being Desmond's ancestor and having player two being a separate assassin based on the storyline, such as an underling or a friend.

I loved the multiplayer. It fit so well and was a lot of fun. I do like how balanced it is now with the fact that the players character did not have special abilities so you could play as any skin you wanted without having people favor one over the others due to abilities. Also, with customizable classes, you could use the powers you wanted aloowing for better gameplay. I would love more characters, more maps and more skills in the game with more game types than the few we had in Brotherhood. The clan and guild management for multiplayer sounds fun but I am not entirely sure that I want to be forced to join a clan just to get certain things in the multiplayer.

Here are other things that I saw from other users that I liked.

ability to buy maps for collectibles again
keep execution combos
virtual training
keep the ability to recruit assassin's
Allow for more guild managing such as more assassin's to be called into battle, more recruiting options, and other features.

That is really interesting and a nice way to link it unlike others like previous Guitar Hero games or stuff. And I hope it wouldn't be anything that is like the Facebook connectivity in Blur! @#31- I'm with you on the 1000 gs through sp. I really don't give a shit about mp, and mp chieves just feel like a ploy to force us to play a mode we don't all want...also, way to ruin a 100% streak, Ubi.

@#86- I agree with 90% of those ideas. Especially the Full-Synch bullshit.

I just want a primarily single-player experience, with a co-op side story ( online & offline options) in a new era with a new character. That's assuming the Animus is used again, as we may just play as Desmond in the present.

1) An upgrade to the assassin's blade that increases the fluidity and speed of free-running

interesting an example of this would be nice then we shall see

2) An enhanced Eagle Vision: see the patrol paths of guards, spot clues to complex navigation puzzles, detect when characters are lying during interrogations, etc.

yes do that and it will make sense as the years go by the assassins will learn new ways to use this

3) An intuitive crafting tool that lets you create custom bombs from dozens of ingredients found throughout the game world

liking the crafting idea but expand it to like special upgrades to your equipments like damage increase to weapons, resistance to damage to armor, or something like an inventory thing here you can use a certain amount of items with different armors, and making your own dyes for a unique character feel

4) Tactical use of a variety of bombs suited to unique contexts and situations (smoke, poison, flash, explosive, etc.)

like the sound of that but none of that doing things a certain way anymore it feels restricting in the gameplay parts 1 and 2 gives you freedom which is the best part assassinating in your own way is what the assassin's creed foundation so be all about

5) An additional objective where you and your Assassins guild fight against the Templars to gain control of a city, district by district

sounds a lot like the borgia towers i would go for it if it means you'll get something good in return, like different areas give you specific materials for crafting

6) Playing as a new Assassin, in a different historical time period

this is definitely what all the assassin's creed game should be and have been about new assassins and time periods

7) A continuation of Ezio's story as the leader of the Assassins, set outside of Italy

no 2 stories of the same character is enough in fact there should have not been continuance to any of the stories just tie ins and cameos

8) Deeper connectivity between all the Assassin's Creed projects (eg. an action you make on the Facebook game will impact your game experience on the console; events that you read about in the comics will be related to the storyline of the videogames, etc.)

no that's just a dumb idea since the beginning and it's not worth wasting time on

9) Online Cooperative Mode

yeah that would be awesome

10) Offline Cooperative Mode

well of course not don't ruin the game with split-screen it's just terrible

11) The availability of new maps for the Multiplayer

you don't even need to ask this of course you need new maps (free ones are always welcomed)

12) A choice of additional Multiplayer characters with new skill-sets

yes new characters are always good

13) Playing new Multiplayer modes

interesting so yes

14) A deeper team-based Multiplayer experience (guilds / squads that have common objectives, new tools for clan management, etc.)

that would be nice and don't forget to fix the bugs too if any

15) A customization of the Multiplayer experience (logos, avatars, objects, team names, etc.)

that's a great idea

It all sounds very great, except Facebook influencing this game. Oh and please no more Ezio! I would love to play as a new, more intelligent, assassin.

If AC3 had co-op, it would seriously push it to the top of my favourite franchises. A new setting would be good. Theres so many places they could go. With or without Ezio, Im not to fussed, but it'd definitely be fun to add a new assassin to the mix :)

The Assassins Creed franchise is being milked dry much like what happened to the Tony Hawks and Guitar Hero franchises.

For ACIII I would actually like it to be mostly Desmond but with the occasional 'Bleed Effect' into an ancestor asassin. 4 Games seems like a decent length for the story. So in number 3 we see Desmond break into the Abstergo Compound and kill Vidic (hopefully). Co-op would be cool, maybe Lucy and Desmond? And more multiplayer modes, team slayer, all for one, capture the flag? And character customisation so things like new outfits with customisable logos etc. and probably more cross-series easter eggs. So matbe Solid Snakes outfit this time around? And stealing from the spy in TF2 the ability to use disguises. Trick enemies into letting you pass etc.

1) Hidden Blade upgrade would be nice, but isn't really necessary to me. Having dual hidden blades like the latter games was epic by itself. Not sure how much better they could be
2) Eagle vision doesn't need to become any more broken than it is. Altair/Ezio can already just look at their target and recognize them because of it, as well as there is already a slight "trailing" feature that was added. More things involving sight would be cool, such as making it easier to recognize a target's trail via like footprints or something, but only depending on how they pull it off. The interrogation thing is a no go in my books
3) More bombs = more fun. I already love smoke, give me more! Shock bomb would make me :)
4) Same as 3 here.
5) This would be cool depending on how they pull it off actually. I kinda liked the Borgia Tower idea in Brotherhood, so something like that would be cool.
6) YES! I love Ezio but his story should end. Maybe start with the actual end of Ezio's story, but we don't need a third game based around him. We need a new ancestor, and focus primarily on Desmond for 3. We all know his battle is coming. Look at the bleeding effect and Abstergo training hundreds of assassins!
7) No more Ezio, unless it's a cameo or a reference. I love Ezio but we could use a new assassin.
8) Eh, Legacy is cool and all, but it's just something to do when I'm bored. It's not that addicting that more integration should be added. Some small things, like maybe managing your guild in a small way could work, but nothing too crazy
9)& 10) Coop is ALWAYS good. Best bet would be making it drop in/drop out coop with up to 4 people (2 players on 1 screen), with the bonus assassin's playing along in the host's game. Two alone would be noteworthy, but 4 player coop would be insane.
11) New maps are always a plus. Especially if there's no charge :)
12) More characters to play as would be cool
13) As long as they're fun to play as, I'm game.
14) Yes
15) Customization is ALWAYS welcome. Having something like a gamercard for Assassin's Creed would be awesome. Yeah, it may be a little cod/halo esque but I like having my own personal info thing like that. You should also be able to customize your own assassin as well. Let you build him up looking however you want. Keep changed purely cosmetic, kinda like armor in Reach, but AC style. The more we can customize, the better. Also, Theater mode plz!

I would love for them to add coop. But have it so players can drop in and out as they please and if it didn't affect the story really. Making it more optional for players who want it and ones who don't don't have to use it. No coop achievements. Multiplayer is fine but no goddamn multi achievements please!!!

No more 100% sync either, garbage. No more Ezio either.

Facebook the only thing good about that is I could mess around on that when I'm working, otherwise I could care less about it.

@ 79 - Because Desmond is the key in all this. Pay attention to what Juno says about him as well as Subject 16. Desmonds role is much bigger than anyone thinks.

i'd like to see a game set in London around 1666. You could really set a decent conspiracy theorey going with the plague and the great fire of London around that time

I think they should move the game to the industrial revolution in Britain, lots of corruption there and easy to make a plot.

i think they should go for the beginning of XVI in slovian countries... that could be fun if you could play in few countries: Poland, Russia and Austria... id like poland for two reasons: - i am polish myself - and the most interesting thing in that century were polish hussars (probably the best in that time), and conspiracy? c'mon... conspiracy is everywhere and always so there will be some in poland, russia and astria...

People may dislike this but, What about Abstero's side of the story. The assassin's are only half of the games universe. I wanna know what happens to them and how they nearly defeated the assassins in Desmond's time.

Who would say no to any of these?? Well maybe except for Ezio. Time to move on to Desmond and finish this trilogy. After that do as many spin offs as you want:-P

Unless you want a six hour story mode, it's best to keep the multiplayer side as minimal as possible. I'd prefer it to be gone completely, but that won't happen. It's fun admittedly, and does link in with the story though, unlike many other MP modes, but I'm still not a fan of sticking MP options into every game going. Adding Co-op is just silly. How does it fit into a game where you do virtually everything on your own? Mind, I've seen people trying to say co-op in Oblivion would have been great. Yeah, co-op in a game I've clocked over 118 hours in so far, that's a great idea...

The Facebook side is fine as it is. It doesn't impact on people that don't play Project Legacy, and gives a little bonus to those that do.

Of course, making it a two-disc release, with the story on one disc and all MP modes on the other, would be a good idea, so each mode can be developed properly. I don't see that though, especially if they're aiming to churn out one game a year now.

new assassin, set in London during the time of jack the ripper..... imagine london at night during that time period in that kind scenery... game would be amazing plus it would force ubisoft to make new types of weapons and stuff to go along with the new time period. Multiplayer i could live with but for godsakes please no more online cheevos and customization i could care less about.

Also, h0lydr1ver317's idea of the Jack the Ripper period is awesome.

No more Ezio. He was great in AC 2 and ACB, but the story is about Desmonds, not Ezio. And Because Ezio said by himself in ACB, that he doesn`t have to worry about the future, why should he have to go on then? Rather a new one.

And Facebook: NO!!!!! I hate facebook and i don`t want to do assassins creed on both xbox and facebook.

I liked Ezio as a character, but enough of him and that time period. AC3 HAS to feature a new ancestor of Desmond's and be set in a different time period.
