Spider-Man: Shattered Dimensions Dev Named As Lead on Future Spidey Games

It's good news for Spider-Man: Shattered Dimensions fans, as Activision has announced that Beenox, the studio behind that game, is set to be the lead developer on future Spider-Man titles under the Acti umbrella. Shattered Dimensions was relatively well-received compared to other recent Spider-Man titles, even scoring a highly respectable 76 on this here site.
“Beenox’s creative vision reinvigorated the Spider-Man gaming experience among critics and fans in Spider-Man: Shattered Dimensions,” said Senior VP Patrick Kelly. “We can’t wait to see where this talented studio will take this franchise in the future.”
“We are thrilled with this opportunity to continue our close, collaborative relationship with Activision, Marvel and everyone’s friendly, neighborhood hero, Spider-Man,” said Beenox studio head Dee Brown. “Being able to map out Spider-Man’s interactive future gives us the creative freedom to really craft the best gaming experience for the fans.”
Spider-Man: Shattered Dimensions featured four different Spideys from the Amazing, Noir, Ultimate and 2099 universes. Where the next in the Activision and Beenox franchise will head next however is currently unknown, but Beenox can rest assured that it'll be on ol' webhead's case.
