Virtua Tennis 4 Prepping The Strawberries and Cream This Spring

Top Spin or not Top Spin? You'll have a choice this spring as SEGA is bringing Virtua Tennis 4 back into the stadium for more fuzzy yellow balls and overwrought grunting. Thing is, Virtua Tennis 4 already has one over Top Spin 4. It's got Maria Sharapova...

That said, Virtua Tennis and Top Spin are two very different beasts, but it's always nice to have choices anyway. SEGA has released some new media for what will actually be the fifth game in the series after last year's Virtua Tennis 2009, showing that classic colourful VT style in the screens while the trailer reveals some of the player roster, which includes the likes of Federer, Murray, Nadal, Del Potro and Sharapova among others.

Check out seven new screens in the gallery as well as the new trailer, then get ready for SEGA to serve up Virtua Tennis 4 in spring 2011.

Think it's virtua that doesn't have serena Williams in. Kinda annoying. Plus the hidden characters like duke and becker were, IMO, so solid to beat. BUT the arcade games are priceless!

With Top Spin 4 not utilizing Kinect, maybe SEGA will have Virtua Tennis 4 use it? I doubt it, but with Tennis games I think Kinect would work great with the game. I know 2K said they didn't like the lag that occurred, but maybe SEGA can at least include some Kinect mini-games into this game.

This will sell alot better that Top Spin imo, looks better, and Kinect is a big bargaining chip I'd say.

As much as alot of ppl despise kinect, no-one can deny they didnt think Wii Tennis was FUN at least once lol

Still cant see why EA havent picked up a tennis license, they seem to have every other sport. Well except Snail Racing ;)

@ 13:

EA does have a tennis license. they made Grand Slam Tennis for the Wii. it was supposed to release on 360 & PS3 too but they cancelled them.
