Featuring Jack from MadWorld in full-colour and a peachy-buttocked heroine like Bayonetta, Platinum Games and SEGA have today officially announced the game that in Japanese magazine, Famitsu had been referred to as Max Anarchy. Anarchy Reigns is Platinum's third-person multiplayer brawler, which will utilise the developer's considerable experience in crafting great combat games like Bayonetta and MadWorld to push the boundaries of the traditional beat 'em up.
Allowing multiple players to get heavily involved in the fighting action, Anarchy Reigns will feature a range of multiplayer modes, such as Tag Team battles and Battle Royal where players can compete for supremacy in a full-on scrap where only one will be crowned victorious.
“SEGA is delighted to continue our collaboration with Platinum Games, one of the most creative and critically acclaimed developers in the world,” said Gary Knight, Senior Vice President of Marketing for SEGA West. “Anarchy Reigns is set to offer gamers a fresh multiplayer experience with the quality and innovation Platinum Games are renowned for.”
Anarchy Reigns is set for release in autumn 2011 and you can take a look at the first three screens from the multiplayer fighter, which shows MadWorld's Jack going mental with a chainsaw and some chaotic action featuring a lithe blonde heroine in a white catsuit.
