Developer Keen Games and publisher dtp Entertainment has today announced the release date for their cartoony arcade racer, TNT Racers on the Xbox Live Arcade, and it's set to land early next month.
Featuring 18 tracks for up to four-players to race on in local and online multiplayer, TNT Racers is frantic racing in the Micro Machines or Mashed mould, with weapon pick ups designed for chaotic races in which the last player standing on the track is the winner.
When you do get bumped from the track, you're able to return as a 'shadow racer', so you can attempt to exact revenge upon your rivals, rather than twiddling your thumbs waiting for the next race to start. Dedicated players that manage to make an impression on the game's leaderboards, will be rewarded with extra content like new cars, tracks and achievements.
There's also three different single-player modes in TNT Racers, as well as 45 challenges across three speed classes, time trials and custom races, where you can set your own parameters and place your own weapon pick ups on the track.
TNT Racers is due to hit the Xbox Live Arcade on February 9th for a price of £7.99, which we suspect will be rounded down to 800 Microsoft Points, as £7.99 converts to 933 MSP.
