Kalypso Media has officially announced that Tropico 4 is coming to Xbox 360 later this year, bringing more city building and strategy as you return as the despotic (or indeed benevolent) El Presidente once again, putting your own mark on the titular island paradise as ruler.
With the island nation of Tropico changing, Tropico 4 will introduce 20 new missions, across 10 maps with new buildings as well as enhancements to the political and economic aspects. Therefore, you'll face new challenges as El Presidente, striving to meet the needs of the people, and gaining the support of your naysayers will be vital in gaining a foothold in your ongoing rule over the island, as your decisions ultimately affect the future of the nation and the size of your off-shore bank account.
You'll also have more superpowers to negotiate with in Tropico 4, but you'll also be able to elect ministers who'll aid you in getting controversial policies passed, although you'll need to stay on your guard, as everyone has their own agenda and might not necessarily have your best interests at heart. What's more, you'll have to deal with adverse conditions on the island, with natural disasters putting your political mettle to the test as the people look to you in helping the island recover in the wake of volcanoes, tornadoes or droughts.
Tropico 4 is slated for release on Xbox 360 in Q2 2011. Viva El Presidente!
