Hudson Entertainment is set to close its doors at the end of the month as a result of Konami's recent acquisition of parent company Hudson Soft, brand manager Morgan Haro confirmed in a long blog post announcing the unfortunate news, which also states that "all of Hudson's previously-planned projects have been cancelled."
In the blog post, Haro even gave a few examples of where he thinks the company went wrong, explaining that from his own personal viewpoint, Japanese publishers often have difficulty in communicating with their Western offices.
Haro also noted that he believes the company managed to innovate with XBLA titles like Bomberman: Live, but missed big opportunities with some of its other properties, such as Deca Sports, a version of which appeared on Kinect.
Hudson Soft meanwhile, will continue to operate in Japan, but will apparently now focus its attention on social games.
