Star of 'The Guild' and shows like Buffy The Vampire Slayer, Felicia Day has now collaborated with BioWare in creating a six-part web series based in the Dragon Age universe starring as brand new character, Tallis, who according to Day "is headstrong, she fights dirty, and she has a really sarcastic sense of humor. I wanted to bring a modern sensibility to a fantasy character in a fantasy world."
The world premiere of the series, entitled Dragon Age: Redemption, will be presented by Day - who also wrote it herself - on Late Night With Jimmy Fallon tonight on NBC with an on-set look at the project set to appear on Spike TV on February 24th.
"I'm a huge Dragon Age fan, and I have been looking for a follow up project to 'The Guild' for quite some time," said Day. "I was thrilled when the opportunity to work with BioWare materialised. Dragon Age: Redemption allows me to tell a fantasy story in a new way, using a universe I really love. It has been a dream working together."
"We are really, really excited to work with people like her who have a passion and appreciation for the content and a really good history of quality," said BioWare co-founder Greg Zeschuk. "That's who we want to work with."
Day's character Tallis is an Elven assassin who is hired by the Qunari to capture a rogue mage who intends to cause chaos all over Ferelden. On her journey to prevent the mage from putting the world in danger, Tallis bands with a group of companions whose goals and beliefs vary, but they come together to try and defeat the threat imposed by the rogue mage and restore peace.
Dragon Age II is due to release on March 8th in North America and March 11th in Europe. Look out for Dragon Age: Redemption online soon.
