Tom Clancy's HAWX 2
What's On Xbox Live For The Second Half Of February
Written By

Microsoft has given us its usual heads up on what's just around the corner on the Xbox Live Marketplace for the next couple of weeks, telling us some stuff we already know and some that we don't.

Stuff that we already know includes the remainder of the House Party with Bejeweled Blitz, Beyond Good & Evil HD and... erm, where's Full House Poker? We can only assume that it's still on the cards (ho ho). And Torchlight too of course. Both are at the cut-off point for this particular update, which runs to early March, so don't worry.

What we don't know however, is that there's a big ol' Tom Clancy sale kicking off as Deal of the Week next week, cutting prices on Splinter Cell games, Ghost Recon DLC, Endwar bits and HAWX add-ons. Pac-Man Championship Edition DX will then be the following week's deal at half price.

There'll also be Homefront Avatar items coming soon, so you can dress your digital self as a soldier for probably the umpteenth time.

Cast your eyes over what's due for the next couple of weeks, then hoard your Microsoft Points away in anticipation:

Uhm...Games On Demand...March 1st. Those games are all already available. Either goof by the people you got the information from, or price drops? Be odd though, Red Dead just recently dropped.

Bayonetta, GET. BG/E, GET!

Why can't they use Games On Demand to sell titles that were never released in US or EU, instead of overpriced games you can easily find cheaper hard copies of?

360a JUST posted a story a while ago saying the CV DLC was delayed til March. You not read the news section?

Those remakes are PS3 games. The Chaos Theory listed here is from the Xbox classics section. It's just a plain old Xbox game running on your 360. No achievements.

The games on demand repeats are price drops, I'm guessing. Though if RDR drops again so quickily after the last drop, I'll be kinda pissed. Since I purchased it after the last drop.

Regarding the Castlevania DLC that a few have mentioned. Learn to read. As 16 just said, the news was just posted today that it's been pushed into March.

And finally, to those of you pissing and whining about GoD prices. No one is putting a gun to your head, forcing you to buy them. If you don't want them, don't buy them. Plain and simple. They';re there for those of us that don't mind paying a little extra for a game that runs infinitely smoother than the same game running on a disc. And because they run so much better than their disc counterparts, I personally (and most others, I'd wager) could care less if I don't get a case, manual, or disc.

News flash. You can install games to your Xbox hard drive since like...2 years ago. Which makes them run just as good and as smooth as downloading them. The only advantage to buying them on GoD is not having to put a disk in.

And since it's not like they had to spend money on making a disk, case and booklet for each GoD game, they -should- be cheaper then buying a game with a disk. imho

Definitely getting BGE on March 2.

Also, I recommend you get the Splinter Cell Conviction DLC for 400MSP because that's the price it's worth, not 800MSP.

@19 - Play Fable 2 from an installed disc, then on Demand. Then go ahead and get back to me. Just because a game is installed, doesn't mean it will run just as good as a game than runs solely off the hard drive. If you'd played anything on demand, you'd know this. But it's pretty obvious that you haven't.

@13 Because most of the games you mentioned are not a "demand" for most gamers. Those would fall only in your "demand" list.

But yeah as #6 said, the Games of Demand are already release.

@12 & 16

The Splinter Cell HD remakes are currently listed on the ESRB site coming out for both thE PS3 AND Xbox 360. Although Ubisoft hasn't said anything, since it's listed on the ESRB site, it's pretty safe to assume that the HD remakes will come out on the 360 as well.

I would get Chaos Theory, but as I said above it will likely come out in HD form on the 360. Heck, maybe that's why they are putting the deal out now.

You really need to calm down, it's happened to a lot us as well. You always take that risk when you purchase something

Buy it when it comes out or wait for DotW. That is my code. The fact that you're making such a big deal out of it makes all your misfortune worth it to everyone else, though.

Marvel Pinball...isn't that great. Especially if you're in it for the achievements. They're brutal. Be glad it's Pac-Man. This version is far superior to Marvel Pinball imo, especially for the pricetags.

Then again, they both got really old really quick. :/

Already bought Hard Corps. Not so interested in the other games. I've had my fair share of Bejeweled over the years and the non HD version of BG+E is still alright to play :P.

Pac Man on sale looks to be a good buy. Almost bought it for 800 the other day, glad I waited.
