LEGO Star Wars III: The Clone Wars
LEGO Star Wars III: The Clone Wars Demo Assembled on Xbox Live

Featuring levels on the ground and in space, the LEGO Star Wars III: The Clone Wars demo is now available for Gold subscribers on Xbox Live, and offers a taster from a couple of the full game's 20 story-based missions spread across 16 different systems.

You'll get to sample the enhanced Force abilities and the multi-layered space battles in the demo, as well as wielding a miniature lightsaber or blaster as you swap characters to conquer LEGO Star Wars III's platform-jumping and puzzle-solving. And it goes without saying that the inimitable tongue-in-cheek LEGO humour is still present and correct.

You can snap up the LEGO Star Wars III: The Clone Wars demo by adding it to your download queue here. LEGO Star Wars III: The Clone Wars is out on March 22nd in North America and March 25th in the UK and Europe.

A few misses with it. They took away the "swap characters anywhere" thing. You have to be CLOSE to them to swap. And something just feels... off. Maybe since Batman was perfect, this felt like a step back. Still getting it tho.

@4 I didn't particularly care for LEGO Batman, not sure why. LEGO Harry on the other hand was a blast.

Hopefully this one isn't a step backward.

I'm gonna have to agree with #4 here. It felt a bit clunky somehow and less intuitive than previous ones. It won't stop me from buying it, just not right away.

@4 I could be wrong but with the LEGO Star Wars games you've always had to be close to who ever you're switching with.

Lego Batman was okay. Better than the Indiana Jones games, but inferior to the Star Wars and Harry Potter ones.

@20 Yeah, I was just thinking of that, myself; weren't we promised a Lego Halo at some point? I've been waiting to hear more on that ever since. They better do it before the system gets old- you can only reinvent the same series so many times, and we're already up to 8 Lego games including this one.

@16,20,21 There are so many Lego games I'd love to see, I've always imagined some Doctor Who Lego, or Fallout. Just imagine the cool shit they could pull off.

I was under the impression that Lego Halo was an April Fool's Joke from a couple years ago...didn't Game Informer stage that in one of their infamous April issues?

Anyways, can't wait for another Lego Star Wars game, although I'm not a fan of the changes that TT has been making since Lego Indy 2. I really miss the simplicity of the hub worlds from the older games :(

Can't wait. Lego games are some of the only games my wife will play with me. I've been waiting for a new Star Wars for awhile, H.P. was just so-so for me but my wife loved it.

Boo-yah! Although I can't argue with the change in character swapping. I love the LEGO games, just started LEGO Batman a few days ago although I've had it for months. I find it quite annoying trying to get in a vehicle and always changing to the other characters! Any way can't wait to download this now!

The only Lego game I didn't enjoy was Indy 2. Looking forward to this one too. Didn't see the demo when I was getting the Dragon Age II one. Hopefully just XBL being slow again.

@ #4

You don't have to be close to the characters to swap them. I was Obi Wan standing across a gap from R2 and could still switch with ease. Maybe you're doing it wrong.

This is an enjoyable demo. Everything looks shinier and animates better than the last LEGO Star Wars. I can't wait for the full game and LEGO PotC!

No gameplay surprises in the demo. Would have liked one of the battle levels to try. Seems fun, so I'll doubtless pick it up at some point.

Hated lego batman... To many fking glitches in lego batman, i'd get a glitch or a computer sucks every level. And the abilities were just annoying to me. Like for example robins magnetic suit. So annoying and a waste of time. I only did it for achievement points.
