ZeniMax Online Studios has today announced plans to open a new customer support facility in Galway, Ireland. This new home for ZeniMax's European customer support will create hundreds of jobs over the next several years or so, as well as adding to the country's growing customer support industry.
The new facility will operate under the leadership of industry veteran Matt Firor while ex-Blizzard Entertainment employee Rich Barham will be Director of Customer Support. Barham was a major contributor to the management of in-game support needs and customer care for Blizzard's massive World of Warcraft franchise and acted as a key team member in forming customer service centres for North America and Europe.
ZeniMax Online Studios was founded to create online role playing games, and so the facility in Galway will provide customer support for players of future MMO developments under the ZeniMax umbrella.
“Today’s announcement marks an important step for us,” said Matt Firor, president of ZeniMax Online Studios. “We are excited to be building an experienced team, led by Rich, which will focus on providing superior customer support for our games. Galway has world-class educational facilities, is a beautiful place to work and live, and offers a wide variety of benefits for our employees. Our ability to provide superior customer service for our future products is firmly on track.”
Perhaps you'll call them up one day for help with an MMO game at some point in the future...
