Gun Loco Canned By Square Enix

It appears that Square Enix's Xbox 360-exclusive 'sprint-action shooter' Gun Loco, was too mad even for them, as the publisher/developer has decided to pull the plug on the game, which was first revealed at Gamescom last year and was due to release this autumn.
Featuring the inmates of a far-off prison planet forgotten by society, shooting each other in a frantic bid to escape to freedom, Gun Loco used plastic models crafted by toy designer Kenny Wong as the basis for its character models.
Gun Loco would have offered 12-player multiplayer and single-player support for players to run, jump, slide and shoot one another up in its own crazed arcade style, but that won't be happening any more as Square Enix has announced that production on the game has ceased.
No reasons were given for Gun Loco's cancellation, so we can only guess why Square Enix decided to can the third-person action title. Anyone care to venture a guess?
