Konami has announced that Pro Evolution Soccer 2011 is set to join the Xbox Classics range and receive a permanent price cut, reducing the price tag to an RRP of £29.99. You'll be able to grab PES 2011 at this new lower price from April 1st.
"PES 2011 represents a huge step forward for the series and its new lower price will be a welcome chance for football fans to sample the sheer skill and artistry the game offers," commented Jon Murphy, European PES Team leader.
Released in October 2010, PES 2011 saw the series undergo a whole series of changes, including tweaks to the control system, overhauled animations and a whole array of gameplay additions. It's also the only football game to feature the officially-licensed UEFA Champions League, UEFA Europa Cup and UEFA Super Cup competitions, as well as introducing the Copa Libertadores, South America’s most important club-based competition.
Is it worth the new price? Well, that's what reviews are for! PES 2011 will be re-released on April 1st on the Xbox Classics label for £29.99. Goal!
