Are you tired of the same old corridor shooters? Do you want your bullets with a bit more brains? Then Operation Flashpoint: Red River may well be the game for you, especially with its drop-in/drop-out co-op that enables players to band together with up to three friends and get cracking with some tactical shooter action.

There's the campaign, which is fully playable in co-op with any combination of AI and human buddies, then there's additional multiplayer game modes such as Last Stand and Convoy to indulge in. It's the "thinking man's shooter" according to the developer diary, so strategy and tactics are paramount.

If you want to find out more about Red River's co-op modes, then you should give our hands-on preview a read. And you probably know we have an interview with Principal Game Designer Tim Browne, who's also in the dev diary. Check out the video first though. Operation Flashpoint: Red River is out this week on April 21st in Europe and June 7th in North America.

I will NEVER buy another Operation Flashpoint game after that last horrible, broken, glitched, piece of crap. They never bothered to patch it either, that's their idea of quality. Known broken elements with no fix. Fuck them and fuck this, save your time and money.

Does look good. Have to wait and see though, I'm not usually one for squad shooters.

hmm Dragon Rising wasn't THAT bad as your making out, yes it did have some major issues that they SHOULD have patched before even thinking of making a new game . . .

So i will most probably buy this at some point but i cant see it being until it reduces in price as MK is out on the same day

It does look good, but it's a shame Dragon Rising destroyed the Operation Flashpoint name.
I'll say it again, if anyone has not played the original Flashpoint please try it, it is a fantastic game!

I like the idea of smart bullets. Definitely how first one felt being sniped by enemy tangos from 500 yard by a pistol:-) Even if it improved on DR, I will have to say no. No money in my wallet for mediocre games with so many AAA titles out there.

Thinking mans game? This game has regenerating health, enemies aren't smart and neither are your teammates and gameplay is like any arcadeshooter. I can't believe how Codemasters tarnishes Operation Flashpoints name with these two games.

No thanks, after playing the last one i don't want the taste of vomit in my mouth again. Might be funny to watch though. See how retarded the AI is this time. They were literally like cardboard cutouts in the last.
