Child of Eden
Engage Your Senses With The Latest Child of Eden Trailer

With its blend of trippy visuals and seductive house and trance music, Q Entertainment’s Child of Eden is surely a one of a kind title. And by one of a kind, I obviously include its spiritual predecessor, Rez.

In this latest trailer, Ubisoft and Q Entertainment get their buzz word on, introducing you, the gamer, to something they’re billing as synesthesia. In other words, the relationship between sound and movement in the game... I see they didn’t take our advice to call it symbioticia then, which in our eyes is 1 million times more marketable and interesting. I mean, damn, I can even pronounce synesthesia without spitting large amounts of phlegm all over my computer screen. You don’t get that nonsense with symbiotica!

Anyway! I digress... the latest gameplay trailer has some incredibly creative and awe-inspiring visuals mixed in with some decent beats, so just watch it.

Child of Eden is out June 14th and June 17th in North America and Europe respectively.

Synesthesia is not limited to sound and movement, it's a connection of two senses. Some people with it can hear colours and some can see sounds.
I watched a documentary where they tried to show what someone with synesthesia was seeing, and I honestly couldn't imagine living like that (not that it's bad, there's just so much going on).
If this could somehow "trick" our brains into thinking we had synesthesia, that would be awesome, but as you said in your article, it's a just a buzz word.

@#4 You don't need a Kinect to play this. I read that you can play it just as well with the controller. I hope there will be demo for this:-)

Webb, you should have that phlegm spitting stuff checked:-P
