Originally planned for a May release, according to various internet reports across the net today, FEAR 3 (or F3AR if you like terrible game names like Driv3r) has been pushed back into June.
The initial report came from online retailer, Game Gears, who tweeted that the game would now be a June title. “FEAR 3 Slips to June release,” said the cryptic tweet.
Official confirmation came moments later, when OXM spoke to Neil Castle, Community Manager on FEAR 3, who confirmed the inevitable.
“The F.E.A.R. 3 launch date will now be in June 2011 as we look to deliver the best possible game for you, the players,” said Castle. “The reason for this delay is so that more time can be spent on optimisation in order to provide the best experience possible.”
No new release date has been set yet, but Warner Bros did say that they’d set “a more solid date for you in the very future”... so at least you can sleep tonight knowing that, right?
