IO Interactive has already dropped several not particularly subtle hints leading up to an inevitable Hitman 5 reveal on multiple occasions, but now it's really decided to throw subtlety right out of the window with yet another tease, this time involving rubber ducks with barcoded bonces.
"Rubber ducks heading for Sweden soon. Cozy little fellas." reads a tweet from the developer, with a link to the image below of seven rubber ducks with Agent 47-ified heads. These rubber ducks will be heading to Sweden for the Nordic Game Conference 2011 in Malmö, where IO could decide to reveal the first details for the next Hitman.
You may also recall that some promotional art for Hitman: Blood Money also included a picture of Agent 47 hovering over a bathtub holding a toaster. The bath had a rubber duck in it, but that's probably just an unlinked coincidence.
Whatever the case, this is clearly yet another tease for the next Hitman game, which may or may not be called 'Hitman: Absolution'. We'd put good money on more details at E3 2011 if IO decides to remain schtum at the Nordic Game Conference this week.
