According to a supposedly reliable source, Alan Wake: Night Springs is in development for the Xbox Live Arcade at Wake studio Remedy. An "extremely trusted" insider has told XBLAFans that the game is in the works and claims to have seen screens of the new as yet unannounced XBLA game, and that's about it.
There are no further details on the Alan Wake XBLA game at present, other than the aforementioned rumour, but you may remember Night Springs as the bizarre television show you could stop to watch on TV sets dotted throughout Alan Wake's Bright Falls.
This rumour of Alan Wake: Night Springs for XBLA would tie in nicely with reports from last week confirming that Alan Wake is indeed set to return, but not for a sequel. "Fans of the franchise will be excited to learn that yes, more Wake is coming! But to be absolutely certain to avoid confusion, this next Wake instalment will not be Alan Wake 2. And neither will it be DLC," teased Remedy's Oskari Hakkinen. "The rest we're saving for our official announcement when we'll actually show you."
There's also speculation abound that Alan Wake: Night Springs could also support Kinect. So, to summarise: Alan Wake could be returning in Alan Wake: Night Springs for XBLA with possible Kinect compatibility. It sounds incredibly plausible, but all the same, we'll believe it when we see it.
