XBLA Getting Two More Slices of Vehicle Combat Pie in 2011

I have a large place in my heart for vehicle-based combat games. My early youth is full of memories from such classics as Carmageddon and Micro Machines, so when more games get announced that involve pulverising others into smithereens from a tiny tin box of amped-up steel, we’re as happy as Larry – Larry, incidentally, is very happy.
In 2011 players will be able to get their vehicle combat fix on the Xbox Live Arcade in more ways than one, with both Digital Reality’s Skydrift and Supersonic’s Wrecked: Revenge Revisited.
Digital Reality’s Skydrift has players taking to the skies in “adrenaline pumping sky-racing,” offering players 6 types of offensive and defensive power-ups, detailed terrains and death-defying manoeuvres, in both single and multiplayer modes.
Wrecked: Revenge Revisited on the other hand takes the action to the ground in a sort of top down Micro Machines versus Carmageddon type of way. From the creators of Mashed and Micro Machines v4, we’d expect nothing less.
Take a look at each of them in action below. Oh, and check out the Skydrift screens if it takes your fancy.
