If you were born in the early 80s, chances are you went against your parent’s best wishes and snuck a viewing of that evil little bastard doll, Chucky, ripping through poor individuals as if they were wrapping paper in his infamous trilogy of films.
At the age of 6, there’s nothing scarier than seeing a doll come to life and have such an uncontrollable bloodthirst. I couldn’t sleep for years after that... No seriously, I didn’t actually sleep for years.
Turns out, Universal are set to bring him back... in video game form – not that Seed of Chucky crap.
TikGames and Universal have joined forces to bring you the video game debut of Chucky and his sadistic ways, coming to consoles and PCs this fall.
Said to utilise an original storyline, players will be able to play as Chucky the doll and use his “full repertoire of stealth and guile to dispatch victims in a multitude of distinctive methods”... which is PR for: expect lots of blood.
“Fans have been asking for a Chucky game for years and, soon, gamers around the world will be able to enjoy highly-entertaining, interactive, downright gory experiences with this brand,” said Alex Tikhman, Co-Founder and Vice President of Publishing for TikGames.
Yeah, but Alex... that was 20 years ago...
Billed as a “stealth-action romp,” Chucky’s video game is set to slash his way into homes this coming this fall.
