Continuing Game Informer’s follow-up coverage of their recent Assassin’s Creed: Revelations cover splurge, the site has recently revealed a slew of key locations from the upcoming November release.

Taking control of Ezio and Altair once again, players will venture into familiar and not so familiar places. Ranked amongst the familiar, Ezio will head to Masyaf to the Assassin fortress to unlock the sercrets once held by Altair. Ezio will start and end his adventure here.

The main setting though, as previously reported, will be Constantinople, which is commonly known these days as Istanbul, Turkey. Ezio, a newcomer in the region, will have to learn the ropes once again whilst getting embroiled in the complicated political situations of the region. The city is split into 4 districts - Constantin. Beyazid, Imperial, and Galata – with each having its own visual style, from the poor rundown areas of Constantin to Galata’s busy port.

Ezio will also head to Cappadocia, a city that isn’t just populated by regular citizens, but Templars as well in its underground stronghold. Yes, it’s an underground city as well as an overground one, where Ezio's enemies rule the roost.

Players will also head to island fortress of Rhodes too, but only in multiplayer, which is said to shine with its palaces and castles.

Assassin’s Creed: Revelations is set for a November release. Lookout for more on the title from next month’s E3.

  • looks good.
  • November is looking to be an expensive month. :( I must pick and choose wisely....
  • Can't wait! Love Assassin's Creed.
  • Bring it on!!! love assasins
  • But what role does Altair play? Curious indeed. I still think this will continue to be the best selling new IP franchise for a while yet. Very little compares to the adult conspiracy drama and setting, the real historical impacts and references and the gameplay itself is just nothing short of astounding.
  • Turkey! this will be sick as with all assassins creed games I love them all.
  • If Altair journeys in Constantinople it would probably be around the time of the Fourth Crusade (1202-1204). That'd be pretty cool as it was basically Catholic Christians attacking Orthodox Christians. But with Ezio it'd be after it fell to the Turks.
  • @6: Actually the story line makes absolutely no sence at all. The DNA traveling Animus is exchangable by absolutely nothing, the thing adds no value to the game. Ezio is an absolute douchebag. Multiplayer makes double no sence and the whole game is just being milked. Good thing they have enough monkeys, who will buy their HD-casual gaming bullshit like it's nothing. It's all a mather of opinion, just don't say there's almost nothing that comes close to AC, because that's not a fact.
  • Played the 1st Assassins creed and was enough to put me off the others, this game is VERY over rated. Thumbs down please
  • I love the idea of the new setting, and Ezio and Altiar are both good characters, but isn't it about time for a new assassin? I really hope that this is the last we will see from these old characters until we see some more new ones.
  • @9 Looks like someone had a bad day on Black Ops.
  • @9 oh sorry for trying to take u out of ur anime world into a game with a story that actually has senSe
  • @9 If its all a matter of opinion then why have you given yours as fact after flaming someone else for doing the same thing? @10 While I enjoyed the first game, I can see why some people didnt. However ACII and Brotherhood were very much improved. Im not saying you HAVE to go and try them but it seems silly to say a series is overrated after just playing the one game.
  • @ 9 - Firstly, i never said that nothing compares to it but in terms of where the most adult stories (narrative, execution, story progression), the top 3 are Bioshock, Assassin's Creed and Dead Space. Lest you forget as well that they are all Science Fiction so yes, there's going to be fiction aka non-realistic elements available. Secondly, the Animus isn't a DNA traveling machine. It rebuilds genetic memories. Again, an element of fiction genius. Thirdly, how is Ezio a douchebag. I could call you a polka dot wearing fruitcake but would I be right for just saying it? State your reason at least considering he's nominated as one of the most dynamic characters in gaming. And let's not play the Franchise Milking game when you have 4 console based Assassin's Creed games, one which still hasn't released and a couple handhelds in a 4 year time frame and COD is going on what now? 8 games since 2003 on console and 7 handhelds? Hello pot. This is kettle. You are so black.
  • Damn. ANOTHER November release? Shit. There's MW3 (which I'll more than likely wait on), Batman AC in mid Oct, Skyrim (MOST important), and now this? Ugh.
  • I need a job.
  • Totally can't wait for this. Assassin's Creed has become one of my favorite franchises.
  • The districts kinda sound like the four cities in AC1...I hope this turns out well.
  • @9 - You have a picture of Naruto as your Gamerpic, so I can only assume your a fan of it, and you have the audacity to say Assassins Creed makes no sense? Take a look in the mirror dude!
  • @10 Its okay to not like it, but dont bitch about it. Not everything is "overrated" if you dont like it
  • @ 10 - Okay but only b/c you asked for it.
  • Well, looks like my comment matches 9, too
  • @10 The first game was met with mixed reviews at best. The sequels, which you've implied that you haven't played righted so many things that where wrong with the first game while adding so many great new features. The game you played is nothing like the two highly praised sequels. Don't call something over rated that you haven't tried.
  • brotehrhood was cool, can't wait for this!
  • assassin's creed MP! so awesome
  • @ just blow me, Assassin´s creed rules
  • Can't wait!!! ezio is like the most sexiest character in the world!!! I have loved every game so far including the psp and iphone versions. Looks like winter is going to be very expensive for me, Batman, Gears, MW3 and now Assassin best get in some overtime or sell myself on the streets for £10 a go
  • @9 Go play call of duty then.
  • #9 Has a Naruto gamerpic, thus, invalidating anything he has to say in life.
  • Creed is an amazing franchise and I can't wait for this if the game shows as much progression from creed I - creed II - Brotherhood then this is going to be one heck of a game!
  • #9 Aww, mummy not buy you a game thats rated 15, diddums. I assume your a kid, judging by your gamer pic. Creed is an amazing assisin/stealth series like Hitman and Splinter Cell.
  • Assassin* Lol.
  • Supposedly Ezio is a douchebag because he likes to assassinate trolls
  • They didn't mention too much about Altair. Damn it, Ezio is cool, don't get me wrong, but I would like to see some new faces :)
  • I enjoy assassin's creed. The story line is a bit ridiculous, well a lot, but I enjoy the gameplay. Nothing else quite like it. At some point I will probably tire of it like I have done with FPS games - is it just me or are they all the same now but in different settings?
  • If Ezio is in it, you can bet I'll be buying it. Loved Ac2, loved Brotherhood. Ezio is the man.
  • Team Altair!!!
  • @9 why the fuck have you played all 3 games then! Can't wait for this kinda hope there's no MP this time, I'm one of the ones who didnt enjoy it last time. Be good to spend some time with Altair again
  • Its gonna get crowded from october through december.
  • @9 Ha ha ha ha seems like you have been owned by everyone on here!!! Know your role, shut your mouth and post your Assassins Creed hating BS somewhere else!!!
  • Can't wait for this. But for the love of god, NO MP CHEEVOS!!!!
  • It doesn't mention the setting for Altair's journey. I like Ezio but we need more Altair!!!
  • I heard along with single player which will be amazing, the multiplayer mode will have co-op quests to do online! Hope to hear more about it, I read it in Game Informer!
  • ALTAIR FTW!!
  • just picked up brotherhood and they making another one already... wish they would bring another assassin to the table
  • @9 AND 10 Trolls will always troll. AC is one of the all-time greatest games. Visually it's stunning, story wise it's well written, the game has an amazing score and voice acting is awesome too. Please list another game that comes close. @12 that pretty much summs up all he plays which explains why he is trolling so hard on here. If I hate a game I dont go trolling the comments section of a news article.
  • @ 47 - Assassin's Creed is still The Best Selling New IP since it's release and will most likely sit on that throne for a while. They just don't get it. Buddy tried to argue with me that LA Noire would take that throne(friendly debate b/c I do want the game myself). While it takes a more linear and realistic tone than any previous GTA game, it still surrounded the GTA formula in terms of sandbox/free roam and the morality of the time period, in this case - GTA CSI. Not a bad concept nor am I talking down about the game. As mentioned, I want LA Noire badly. Ubisoft on the other hand was well known for the Prince of Persia franchise which had freeroam but wasn't sandbox. The story was pure fiction only using half fictional settings and actual time travel. Vault over to Assassin's Creed and it's not only a step in a new direction but it's use of setting is absolutely stunning and verified. Especially with the known fact that Assassin's Creed 2's detail on the recreation of Renaissance Italy, caused more people to go to school for Culturalism rather than Video Game design. That's a huge impact right there. I am also a huge nut on conspiracy theories (Dan Brown-esque novels) so this was a franchise that hit all the right buttons for me. Altair/Ezio is the true and semi-realistic incarnation of Spiderman/Batman in a real setting. Not to mention, the way they opened up the series. The first game was argued with repitition but it's a dead argument b/c A) Assassin's used a strict code and method to get things done. Hence why Altair was stripped of his rank - his arrogance against the Creed. In AC2, Ezio is the up and coming leader of the group. He can make up his own rules hence the much more open gameplay and progression. Nobody thought to look at that though. Only that the first game was repetitive. Stupid argument b/c nobody can name a single game that has little to NO repetition.
  • i need a better job :( November will b expensive especially when i have to buy xmas presents as well as all the cool games that are coming out
  • @47 What I find with these people is they just want to rush through a game and beat it and move on. So of course they wont like this game. A good example is I HATE collectable achievements with a passion. I avoid them cause they have no meaning. However, I collected every single flag in AC1 and loved every minute. AC is a game you get engrossed in...you dont try for achievements or anything like that. You play the game. Honestly the games are movie like. Cut scenes add to the story, dialog means stuff. I'd say you need atleast 2 play throughs to catch everything with this game.
  • @ 50 - The Kingdom and i think the Richard Flags from the first pissed me off b/c there was ONE I was missing and it was nigh to be found. The other was that stupid one you needed the Pull-Jump for and I just missed it the first time around. Hated it only had one save slot and no way to continue at the end. On the second and 3rd game, the collections at least paid off and had signifigance like Patrucio's Feathers. That made me proud to collect those in honor of my brother. Not to mention, each ending just has you salivating for more. Brotherhood is quite possibly one of the greatest and most fucked up cliffhangers of all times in a game. Gears 2 is a close second for me but after reading the books, I have somewhat of an idea of what may come to light.
  • @51 I should of stated that it took me 4 play throughs and 6 months between the 3rd and 4th playthough to get all the flags. Anyway I couldn't agree more with what you said.
  • @ 52 - I STILL haven't gotten all the Kingdom Flags, Killed all Templars and I still haven't gotten the Conversationalist with Lucy and I've been through it 3 times. I didn't have the perseverance to do it so soon. Planning on going through the series again before Revelation. Not as much as I agree with what you said lol
  • Like that we go to Cappadocia, always wanted to go to a big Templar-run city / fortress. Can't wait for the game.
  • Epic Month coming this year This new AC, BF MW 3 and last but not least Skymir.November is gona be expensive month.
  • I'll ignore the trolls and just say yay for more Assassin's Creed!
  • @51. I was following a map that had all the flags and Templars in the correct places, except for one of each. And even after 1 month of searching I could not find them, so I gave up.
  • Assassins Creed brings me back to better times. I think they should push some lesser games back thought this fall is already turning out to be a big list of games.
  • i
  • @9 I hold in low regard of the opinion of anyone who enjoys naruto
  • Wow, Skyrim, MW3 & now this! It's gonna be an expensive month!
  • @9 how does the story line make no sense. the borgia part of the story is completey true, they just changed parts of it to incorporate ezio and the assassins into the story. it makes perfect sense, however i guess you only understand games like naruto. its k. if you wanna believe fictional childrens games, go ahead
  • Did not read through all of comments, but I do get GI and know all about it. Also oddly enough Ezio will unlock sort of animus glitch where he can access Altair's memories at certain events to find out how to overcome some obstacle or puzzle and at the same time see what happened to the greatest assassin after first game. Desmonds role will be more of a puzzles in animus this time around and is not supposed to touch on a lot of story. Also Ezio is supposed to meet new assassin in Constantinopole who will show him the ropes and latest invention like before mentioned hook:-)
  • @62, actually the Borgia part is a fictionalized retelling of the Borgia family. SPOILERS!!!! Certain people met there ends in a similar fashion, but, for instance, Rodrigo suffered a long and terrible illness after eating some bad food, eventually killing him. Similar means, but totally different.
  • @9 - yes, there is actually no other game like it. Few, if any games take real historical fact and weave into it a compelling fiction. If you dont like the game thats fine but dont bash it just because its not your cup of tea.
  • @ I agree with everythimg, but Ubisoft is known for Rayman
  • @42 yes, just single player achievements will make this game kick even more ass mp achievements suck especially the ones that are nearly impossible.. if there's only like 1 or two for leveling up, i'm fine with that just nothing too complicated that will be impossible to pull off.
  • Cool, I like a 1 large region with multiple looks. And now we basically get one for each character. :D + The multiplayer maps like Mt St Michel really look awesome too. :3
  • just buy them off ebay, i live in australia and a new realease can be up to $70 cheaper, just sayin..
