If the site of copious amounts of raspberry jam makes you feel squeamish, then you might want to sidestep this new developer diary for Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine, as it's packed to the gills with blood, gore, blood, blood and some more blood. And gore.
Focusing upon the game's combat system, the latest developer diary shows Captain Titus getting deep into hordes of saage Orks, before unleashing his chainsword and heavy bolter, among an arsenal of other weaponry including the plasma cannon, thunder hammer and more. It's all about displaying "visible, violent death" the video reaffirms, and boy, does it (war)hammer that point home with exploding heads, severed limbs and plenty of arterial splatter.
Check out the dev diary for a closer look at the seamless melee and ranged combat For further reading on Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine and its visible violent death, check out our hands-on preview and interview. Space Marine is out in September 2011.
