Half-Minute Hero: Super Mega Neo Climax is on its way to Xbox Live arcade next month, it has been confirmed.
It's a remade version of the retrotastic, amphetamine-fuelled PSP JRPG Half-Minute Hero, in which players were tasked with saving the world in - you guessed it - 30 seconds, via a series of mini quests. Wrapped up in a lovely faux-8-bit style, the original was a bit of a charmer.
This new XBLA version, meanwhile, brings a whole bunch of new stuff. According to the game's new website, Half-Minute Hero: Super Mega Neo Climax will feature "60 entire RPGs," as well as an online versus mode called Super Hero Wars, in which you must "race against other players to save the world."
In addition to all this, the visual style has been given a rather cute and snazzy HD brush up. It's rather nice, but those that prefer the old-school pixelated look of the PSP original can switch to that too.
Half-Minute Hero: Super Mega Neo Climax hits XBLA on 29th June, at a cost of 800 Microsoft Points.
