Ms. 'Splosion Man is but a single day old, but that hasn't stopped Twisted Pixel from talking about its plans to provide free DLC 'Challenges' for the game to ensure that it doesn't grow stale once you've beaten the 50 single-player and 50 multiplayer missions, ghost time trials, secret levels and more.
Using micro-updates, under the banner of 'Title Managed Storage' (TMS) means that Twisted Pixel will be able to apply new rules and content to existing levels, creating new challenges complete with leaderboard support. This ought to ensure that Ms. 'Splosion Man's exploits remain fresh, much like Super Meat Boy's free challenge DLC.
"From time to time, we will be awarding real prizes and other fun stuff to the top finishers, and sometimes random players, from the Challenge's leaderboards," said Twisted Pixel's Marketing Director Jay Stuckwisch. "We are finding it harder and harder to 'one up' ourselves with new ways of giving away free stuff to people who buy our games, but TMS has opened an exciting new door for us."
If you like free stuff - and who doesn't? - you can snap up the game's soundtrack for nowt via this link. Ms. 'Splosion Man is out now and you can grab it from the Xbox Live Marketplace for 800 Microsoft Points.
