Third Rage Developer Diary Brings Out the Big Guns

Now this is what it's all about... Guns, and lots of 'em. As Rage's Creative Director Tim Willits notes in this third behind the scenes look at id's latest FPS opus, it's worth remembering that the driving, racing and other bits in the game are additives to the overall experience. And that experience involves holding a fistful of steel in your hands and shooting stuff to kingdom come.
Upon entering each environment, you're furnished with a new weapon, a new ammo type or a new engineering item to keep you on your toes "and keep the experience fresh" says Willits. Consequently, you'll have an ever-expanding arsenal of guns, ammo and gadgets at your disposal, which is what this new video looks at in more detail.
Whether it's the feedback of blowing off a head or enjoying a gruesome death animation, Rage's guns and gadgets are looking like they'll be a ton of fun, in keeping with id's unrivalled first-person shooter heritage. Check out the making of video for a look at all those lovely guns and gizmos that you'll be able to play with in Rage when it releases on October 7th in North America and October 10th in Europe.
