Respawn's First Game Won't Materialise Until 2015

Respawn Entertainment's eminent and respected concept artist Ian McCaig has suggested that we might not see the studio's first project until 2015. The artist behind a number of iconic designs in both movies and games, McCaig dropped the bombshell while speaking at the Develop conference in Brighton today, during a session called 'Showtime!' talking about convergence in the entertainment industry.
“Thanks to the internet, you can take things and use them as you want, no matter what the law says about it. I think this means there will be a whole new way of using and sharing things,” said Mc Caig. “I’m having the most fun working with Respawn Entertainment right now, and I hate that I can’t show you guys what I’m doing there until 2015.”
McCaig helped design Darth Maul and Queen Amidala in the modern Star Wars Trilogy, while in video games his work was pivotal in The Secret of Monkey Island and he created three characters in James Bond titles, amongst other projects. However, McCaig says that working with Respawn is “the most exhilarating experience I’ve ever had in my career”.
Respawn's new website went live last month with a blurry teaser image of its game, which if McCaig's comments prove to be true, will be a long, long, long way off. 2015...
