Avatar Kinect is available now from the Xbox Live Marketplace, bringing new social entertainment capabilities to Kinect using your Avatar for chat and interaction, tracking your gestures and facial expressions. You can invite up to seven friends to join you in 24 different virtual stages, you can have discussions on the Talk Show stage, do a comedy routine on the Performance Stage or make sporting wagers on the Sports Party stage.
You can also record your own presentations which are dynamically edited like a TV-style production, and then share them with family and friends. You can upload your recordings to KinectShare.com, download them onto your computer and then share them on your favourite social site like YouTube, Twitter or Facebook.
Avatar Kinect can be added to your download queue here, free for Xbox Live Gold subscribers and also available free for all XBL subscribers until September 8th. Then, from July 28th you can also get your hands on Kinect Sparkler which is also heading for the Kinect Fun Labs for 240 Microsoft Points.
Utilising new background removal tech for Kinect, you can paint light in mid-air using your fingertips, using new finger-tracking, drawing in 3D or writing using sparklers. You can then admire your handiwork from all angle by moving your head, moving in front of and behind the foreground image. If you like, you can also upload your creations to KinectShare.com, for everyone to admire.
