Rage Developer Diary Number Five Is All About The Enemy

In Rage, it's bad enough that you've got an inhospitable post-apocalyptic wasteland to contend with, so that it's also inhabited by a variety of clans and other nasties means you'll definitely have your work cut out for you. And each clan has their very own distinctive hallmarks, so you'll know exactly who you're fighting.
For instance, you'll know if you're up against the Ghost Clan, as they'll probably drop onto your head due to their acrobatics and nimble moves. The Wasted Clan meanwhile lack combat skills, but they look stupid in style, and the Shrouded Clan attack you with remote control bomb cars, which is awfully nice of them.
There's human enemies and monsters to face in Rage, and each antagonist not only has sharp AI, but they also raise questions. Like for example, are the mutants the result of the radiation following the asteroid impact or are they failed human experiments conducted by shady militant overlords The Authority?
You'll be able to find out when Rage launches on October 7th in North America and October 10th in Europe. For now however, there's a fifth dev diary to watch below before the sixth and final instalment arrives.
