It's hard to believe (and slightly depressing) that the original Deus Ex came out eleven years ago and blew away gamers looking for something a little more cerebral from their shooters, with its own brand of absorbing future noir story, tactical augmentations and weaponry.
With 2003 sequel Deus Ex: Invisible War considered a comparative disappointment, it's now up to Eidos Montreal to take the reins and craft a prequel to the first Deus Ex with Human Revolution, a game that coins the 'cyber-renaissance' art style with more than a few shades of Blade Runner in the mix too. It looks the part, so can Deus Ex: Human Revolution deliver on the gameplay front?
