With Bodycount now in stores across North America and heading to Europe on Friday, Codemasters has released the launch trailer for the game with shreddable cover, all-out action and bullets pouring out of both barrels.

Featuring intense firefights, overpowered weaponry and explosions all over the place, Bodycount is a no-nonsense shooter casting players in the role of a member of The Network, tasked with bringing down the mysterious Target.

Check out the trailer to get another look at Bodycount's ballstic action, before the game blasts through a wall this week. Bodycount is out now in North America and coming to Europe on September 2nd.

Off topic I know,

but am I the only one who has the to deal with this annoying gum ad that randomly decides to take over my screen until I refresh. Seriously, GET RID OF THAT ANNOYING SHIT!

P.S. I just watched the video review on GameSpot and I think I'm going to pass on this game.

I hate to say it, but all the trailers for this look really rather generic.

It would've sold had they released it a month ago, but now that all the gianormous blockbusters are on their way.. this game will take off.
Too bad, they seem to be a great dev team, should've worked a bit more on smoothing the edges. It still feels a lot like some HL2/Unreal total conversion. Mediocre at best, could've used some serious polish.

@8 - It's a new trailer, so no you didn't. I suspect you saw this one, which is very similar:

The only good thing abotu this game was being able to peek around corners and over obstacles. Every FPS should have this mapped to LB, with LT for aiming down sights. It has been in PC games for years and really helps create a flawless, easy to control first person cover system.

Unfortunately the rest of the game is boring, generic, forgettable and with the big boys coming out toward the end of has already failed.

this will be a buy for me when it reaches $30. if it came out start at like $45 i would probably get it. It doesnt look good enough to be worth $60-$70.

i live in the us and got this yesterday. save your money. i played for 10 minutes before being done. no iron sights, crappy hit counter, and the enemies eat bullets even on easy.

battlefield 3 is def a better choice for new fps

Tried the demo, hated it. Its one of those shooters that just doesnt feel right, and as 12 says no iron sights, just a shitty off centre zoom function that looks and feels crap to use. Avoid!

After playing the demo I'd say this is going to be mediocre at best.

@ 3

Wow, people still listen to what Gamespot has to say?

The demo was a waste of time. What the hell Codemasters were thinking about when making this game? Already 5 minutes into the demo and I couldn't wait to finish it then delete it off my hard drive. If I am ever going to play this game, I'll... well, actually, I won't. Sorry Codemasters. You lost me at Bodycount.

I too did not like the demo, I didn't even finish it.

It's sad this game won't sell well, it had potential. I just hope the people behind it don't lose their jobs.

I should get this one in the mail today. I'll try it as soon as I beat Deus Ex (should be today or tomorrow.) I liked Black for what it was: just a basic no frills shooter. I played the demo for this, and while the controls are kind of annoying, they were better after I tweaked the sensitivity to my liking. Also, I saw that there are alternate control setups available in the full game that were greyed out in the demo. Anyone that's played the full game know if any of them are any better? I mean, I got the hang of them okay about half way through the demo, but I would still prefer something like what Crow described, with one button for zoom and the other for peeking. Anyway, this isn't going to be BF or Cod, but it's not intended to be. Doesn't mean it can't be a fun play. Peace.

Easily one of the worst games to hit the shelves this year... The demo had some cool concepts but I just could not enjoy it at all. Took 5 minutes for me to quit and delete the demo... Who ever completes this your a trooper... Game is worth 20 bucks seriously...

This might be the most mediocre trailer for a mediocre game I've ever seen. But if Blockbuster gets it in, I will give it a free rental for some chievo points if nothing else.
