If like us, you're digging Driver: San Francisco, then you'll be well chuffed to learn that Ubisoft is supporting the game's multiplayer with a variety of free content introducing new routes for the various online game modes, starting with 12 routes next week.

From September 15th, these 12 new routes will be followed up with a further 10 over the next ten weeks. That's one per week for the mathematically challenged. Today also sees the Driver Club going live with an exclusive community Games-to-Web service in which you can do the following:

  • Unlock exclusive achievements.
  • Find your stats and check the leaderboards.
  • Showcase your film director clips.
  • See and rate your friends’ clips.
  • Review the Community facts.
  • Follow your friends’ activities using the Driver Social feed.

You can sign up with the Driver Club at using your Uplay account. In other news, the Driver: SF Uplay passport is also free for a limited time via the game's main menu, following a hiccup in which North American copies of the game were bereft of their Uplay passport redeem codes.

aweful monstrosity. the graphics are so grainy and horrible. di dont know why they compromised the graphics and gameplay just to have 60fps. its retarded.

The online is boring. i don't feel like finishing boring single player story, there is not much action anymore after the prologue. Tanner acts like he just escaped from a local mental hospital. The rented game is going back immediately.

The game is not perfect - Cheap AI, twitchy controls, repetitive missions and the whole Twilight Zone/Quantum Leap thing breaks some parts of the games mechanics completely.. BUT.. At least they give away FREE content.. Thankyou..

I love this game so far, Shifting into someones car just to hear the conversations is great there are some real funny lines. The multiplayer i have not done much of but i never enjoyed serious fair racing games So this is my sort of game. And free dlc already? Sure why not :D

Brilliant game, witty, fun, entertaining, massive playability. Everything you would want with a free roam driving game.

Should get to me in the mail in the next couple days. Glad to hear some people like it. I really enjoyed the MP demo. I've been a fan of the series since the PS1 days. Looking forward to it.

Really? I would much prefer having a face paced open world driving game run at 60 then to have it look absolutely stunning and have it feel like im actually ridding a 500k push bike.

This game is bloody awesome and the best in the series for a long time. thank god they are not just giving up on it after release.

@2 - You really are naive, if it was on the PC it would look amazing and run at 60fps, the reason it looks the way it does is because its on the Xbox 360, which is starting to show its age rather dramatically, after all its 6 years old now and running on very outdated tech.

@15 if the 360's hardware is to blame why does GTA IV which is still among the top played XBL games came out in EARLY 2008 so its almost 5 years old, still manage to look 100x better than any other clone then or now (including LA Noire)

and i dont remember anyone complaining about the graphics when RDR came out just last year

I was waiting for this game so much but I deleted the demo after about 5 minutes play. It is not my kind of game. :(
Releasing free DLC is really awesome thing though. Big thumbs up for Ubisoft.

Great game which does exactly what it set out to do. Great story, albeit a short one and fantastic multiplayer. Well worth a rent if you're not wanting to buy it as it can be 1000G'd in a week.
