If you're keen to directly compare FIFA 12 and PES 2012, you can now do so courtesy of the Xbox Live Marketplace, where you'll find demos for both available to download. The PES 2012 demo offers a full 10-minute match, as well as enabling you to get a feel for the basic controls in the Challenge Training mode.

The PES 2012 demo boasts improvements based upon feedback from the first PlayStation 3 and Windows PC demo, which was canned for Xbox Live, with this version being closer to the final version of the game. The finished product will be further improved with online updates, according to the demo's press release.

You can add the PES 2012 demo to your download queue here, and choose from Tottenham Hotspur, FC Bayern Munich, FC Internazionale Milano, Rangers FC, Club America and Sport Club Internacional, then check out the new Active AI, off-the-ball controls and teammate controls, new to PES this year.

PES 2012 is out on September 27th in North America and October 14th in Europe.

Soccerball is gash anyway, don't get suckered in by the hot mens in shorts. American Football athletes (yes, finely tuned athletes) wipe the floor with the losers that play soccerball.

Even a Mighty Morphin Power Rangers ring couldn't help them compete. They can't even pick the ball up!

@3 - They don't pick the ball up as it is called FOOTball suprisingly.
Also, fat guys wearing body armour are serious athletes...

On topic, I second no.2's comment.

@3 yet another insightful comment *sigh*

I used to play pro evo on my PS2 and couldnt stand fifa (still cant), and I would like to see pro evo be a respectable rival again but I fear they havent released a on par game for too long and will never truely be a threat to fifa again sad really as competition breeds quality.

He's obviously trolling, but let's not act like neither sport is athletic. American Football is athletic in it's own way just like every competitive sport is.

Rangers FC playable in the demo. Thats good enough for me to give it a try. I'll report back later on how it compares with FIFA 12.

Pro Evo was the only football game I bought for years.

Shame that over the last 5 or 6 years Fifa has progressed and Pro Evo has stood still.

Since Pro Evo 6 i have been dissapointed i picked it up last year and it was better but still not anything like before. I will try the demo but i suspect Konami haven't done enough and still only one must buy footie game this year.

I prefer this years PES to this years FIFA, atleast going by the demo. Both good games though, in all honesty, and i'll pick them both up.

I've not enjoyed a PES game since 05 or 06 can't remember but unfortunately for PES, FIFA has made the improvements needed while Konami just make small little changes that don't seem to make much difference.

@3 You don't like Football because the "hot mens in shorts"? Keep your trolling to yourself, closet queen.

OT: I'll probably at least get the demo and see what "changes" Konami have made but I won't hold my breath. PES has been poor for the last 5 years in my opinion.

PES still needs to do better. FIFA 12 still streets ahead imo.

@3 You are a prime example of an oxygen thief.

american football = stop start, stop start, stop breathing - ive just died of boredom.

OT downloading now, but I am yet another former PES fan desperate for the game to regain its glory.

I used to have massive respect for Flibbity, but nowadays it just seems he spends all of his days on this site posting comments nobody wants to see, stupid troll. Why don't you find something better to do with your time, clearly nobody here other than trolls want you.
If you're going to reply with the usual reply you give everyone, do it on my wall because I rarely check back, I'm just not that sad.

Downloading it right now. I´m a fan since the first PES - even since International Superstar Soccer back on PS1 - and I am really looking forward to this. I like last year´s output and if they seriously improved the AI then this will be a lot of fun. Hope they can regain some of the feeling from PES 6 and climb the throne of football games again.

It's suprisingly good, best one since PES 5 on PS2 :)

I prefer it to FIFA 12 which I felt was slightly disappointing (I'll still buy and enjoy it though)
