Never picked up knights of the nine or the shivering isles and already purchased most of the other dlc. I'm sold. Looks good.Friday, September 16, 2011 @ 11:03 AM
Would buy this but I already have all the DLC :(Friday, September 16, 2011 @ 11:03 AM
Yum.Friday, September 16, 2011 @ 11:04 AM
Im playing oblivion now and I must say it 1 of the best games Ive ever played, cant believe I never played it before.Friday, September 16, 2011 @ 11:05 AM
£17.99 at Gameplay.co.uk, i may pick this up but its supposidly a cut down version on the USA version, its not in a steelbook case and it does not come with a discount voucher for Skyrim.Friday, September 16, 2011 @ 11:06 AM
Been ages since i've played Oblivion, may pick this up and start again from the beginning, hopefully i've got time to play it....Friday, September 16, 2011 @ 11:10 AM
Personnaly I got the PC CE and the mods really enhance the game. I am surprised they didnt atleast port it to the new engine for re-release.Friday, September 16, 2011 @ 11:10 AM
hmm..... i already got 1250g on Oblivion but traded it in which i regretted and really wanted to buy Oblivion again but never did. Can't decide whether £20 is worth it to take me from 25.9.11 to 11.11.11?Friday, September 16, 2011 @ 11:21 AM
Wow bargain you say. Oldass game for over $30. You can get GOTY edition with all of this stuff for $15 minus that bonus disc you mentioned. If anything they should include it with Skyrim and raise a price a little LOLFriday, September 16, 2011 @ 11:23 AM
I'll have to get this; though it's a shame it doesn't come with all of the DLC.Friday, September 16, 2011 @ 11:23 AM
I bought the GOTY edition a long time ago. played it for awhile got glitched bad on the theives guild back in 09 and just started playing it again. Almost done will all the guilds got a little bit of main quest remaining then shivering islesFriday, September 16, 2011 @ 11:24 AM
Will Call of Duty 4 get a 5th anniversary edition like this next year?Friday, September 16, 2011 @ 11:26 AM
if only i got the duchess of dementia achievement as well, it sucks u can only get one at a time, and forget to keep an archive of saves grrrFriday, September 16, 2011 @ 11:27 AM
Knights of the Nine is a pretty cool quest - but Shivering Isles is like another game all together its awesome and adds hours and hours of game time and cool weapons and armor to collect, if you're an in-game collector as I am - definetly would recommend this game to any RPG fan. And OMG cant wait for Skyrim!!!Friday, September 16, 2011 @ 11:27 AM
Cool, nnow i meg get Oblivion :DFriday, September 16, 2011 @ 11:31 AM
Sounds good but unfortunatly I have all the DLC and im not paying £20 for a bunus disk.Friday, September 16, 2011 @ 11:31 AM
How come there was never achievements for Knights Of The Nine ?Friday, September 16, 2011 @ 11:35 AM
Thought this would have came out a few years ago.Friday, September 16, 2011 @ 11:40 AM
I'm buying this just for the Shivering Isles DLC. At £17.99 its by far the cheapest place to buy the DLC alone!Friday, September 16, 2011 @ 12:02 PM
I've had Oblivion sitting on my gaming shelf for two years now, and am finally slowly working my way through it. I need to complete it by the time Skyrim comes out, I know this much.Friday, September 16, 2011 @ 12:05 PM
I'm still debating picking up a used copy from GS or borrowing from someone. I'm not too big on FPS Melee but I've heard great things about this. I didn't get into Morrowind but I didn't give it a good enough chance I think. We'll see if this comes to the states soon enough. Money's tied up in too many fall projects.Friday, September 16, 2011 @ 12:09 PM
@17 Oblivion, I believe, was one of the first games for the 360 to release DLC. Back then most DLC didn't have any achievements, and Knights of the Nine was really Bethesda's experiment with episodic DLC. I'd say it was probably the most influential precursor to the type of DLC we have released now. Shivering Isles was certainly an exception considering it was a full out expansion pack.Friday, September 16, 2011 @ 12:20 PM
@18 5th anniversary editions are known to come out on ...the games 5th anniversary .Friday, September 16, 2011 @ 12:31 PM
@9 In the UK the GotY is still around £30 used and the standard around £15/20Friday, September 16, 2011 @ 12:42 PM
@24 and thats if its in stock, most places have sold out, and second hand version with no DLC can be up to £20. So I will be definitely getting this.Friday, September 16, 2011 @ 12:52 PM
surely if u knew or liked the series you would of played it by now...and if u loved it like i did u would of had/brought the DLC for it....so why bring this out now with skyrim just round the corner???....if peeps are gonna get interested in the series now, they will go for the newer/more advanced/better looking one (skyrim)....personally i don't see much point in this :(Friday, September 16, 2011 @ 01:11 PM
I misread the title as Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim coming out later this month. Then I realized my mistake, and cried.Friday, September 16, 2011 @ 01:14 PM
You can get Oblivion for a tenner, max, pre-owned. Standalone.Friday, September 16, 2011 @ 01:17 PM
@21 First Person Shooter Melee....hmmmmm... this really is not worth it if you have everything unfortunately...great game thoughFriday, September 16, 2011 @ 01:29 PM
@28. I was at GameStation yesterday. They had it at £20, and this was on like 3 copies. The price has rised because of Skyrim coming soonFriday, September 16, 2011 @ 01:37 PM
The bonus disc is the same one from the old Collector's Edition, so it's not really exclusive to this version. It also had a metal Septim coin, the map, and a book of the history of Tamriel.Friday, September 16, 2011 @ 01:43 PM
@28 Yes. But Oblivion is easy, so once you finished it and have all the cheevo's, it's 1200 points DLC down the shitter.Friday, September 16, 2011 @ 02:06 PM
me likey muchly!Friday, September 16, 2011 @ 02:06 PM
Any idea how much it will be in the US and does it have a whole new achievement lust like the Arkhan Asylum GOTYFriday, September 16, 2011 @ 02:12 PM
I have my copy (it's already been released in the US yay!), and trust me, it's worth the purchase for the case alone.Friday, September 16, 2011 @ 02:27 PM
Nevermind I just looked and found itFriday, September 16, 2011 @ 02:44 PM
@35 I don't think UK get the steel book. But I want to get one imported just for the case!Friday, September 16, 2011 @ 03:06 PM
No horse armor? No thanks :DFriday, September 16, 2011 @ 03:12 PM
Boy, nothing like milking the shit out of Oblivion. How many versions are out now anyways?Friday, September 16, 2011 @ 03:25 PM
i am in canada, and i saw this in a store today for $29.99Friday, September 16, 2011 @ 03:26 PM
Why isn't horse armor included? No sale.Friday, September 16, 2011 @ 03:33 PM
@21 This game is worth trying. I didn't get into morrowwind, just didn't grab me. However, oblivion is a fantastic game. Everyone I know that has either borrowed a copy from me or just played it off a suggestion has loved it, even those who don't like FP games. It's worth fucking up and at least playing the default storyline. Shivering isles is one of the best dlc's for any game I have played and could have been a standalone game itself. @ the very least puck up a used copy and treat yourself to a good game.Friday, September 16, 2011 @ 03:37 PM
damn auto type cell phone.....^picking up not f@*$& up...... my bad. LOL.Friday, September 16, 2011 @ 03:43 PM
@17 I don't think it was commonplace for DLC to have achievements when Kot9 came out. If I hadn't already bought this game 4 times (house-fire, laser scratch, GotY) I might just pick this up, at least as a gift for someone who hasn't tried it; animations aside, it ages surprisingly well for those who've never touched it before.Friday, September 16, 2011 @ 03:50 PM
Saw this at slackers a week ago and although I have ALL the acheivements for this already I still almost picked it up just because. Still might.Friday, September 16, 2011 @ 03:52 PM
@36 does it have a new chievo list?Friday, September 16, 2011 @ 04:03 PM
I got the game of the year edition, so it is a shame that no new features come with this, even a small slight graphics upgrade would have been nice. It's sad there is nothing new for players who already have this. Brilliant price for anyone thats not got this game. Anyone not entered the world should and enjoy till Skyrim comes out.Friday, September 16, 2011 @ 04:23 PM
@42 I lold so hard at your post before I read your next one because I knew exactly what happened :)Friday, September 16, 2011 @ 04:25 PM
Wake me up when it is over...Friday, September 16, 2011 @ 04:52 PM
I need the Shivering Isle achievements, but I'm a bit intimidated at the thought of potentially getting sucked back into Oblivion. Already had to do 2 full playthroughs since the Thieves Guild achievement line glitched on me. Think I clocked around 500 or so hours between the 2. Fucking OCD lolFriday, September 16, 2011 @ 05:12 PM
The fact that someone could miss this game while whoring achievements on some kiddie title makes me sad. This is among the best games for the 360. Play it now. With luck, you'll finish in time for Skyrim.Friday, September 16, 2011 @ 05:29 PM
@46 no it doesn't have a née chieve list. I just meant that I found out it's already in the US. Sorry for any confusionFriday, September 16, 2011 @ 06:00 PM
Good news, but I already got Oblivion on PC even se edition is VERY good!Friday, September 16, 2011 @ 06:02 PM
Win.Friday, September 16, 2011 @ 06:45 PM
So this is essentially like the GOTY edition with an extra DLC that doesn't have any achievements? Why not just save your money and get the older edition that comes with Shivering Isles...?Friday, September 16, 2011 @ 07:10 PM
Are the Glitches fixt?Saturday, September 17, 2011 @ 12:34 AM
If only it was another 1250 the ol' gs. Much like the GOTY editions of Batman.Saturday, September 17, 2011 @ 03:27 AM
I already have the GOTY Edition, but I would have considered buying this if it came bundled with all the DLC.Saturday, September 17, 2011 @ 06:55 AM
Like someone said before, milking the shit out of Oblivion. How pathetic.Saturday, September 17, 2011 @ 06:59 AM
i owned oblivion and the shivering isles/knights of nine disc as well, and i still picked the 5th anniversary version up on day one. Its only 30 dollars U.S.. That is basically a steal. This is a classic game that i will play long after they make a new console.Saturday, September 17, 2011 @ 07:34 AM
Are they trying to make up for the Skyrim sales or something? Last i checked not many people had pre-ordered the game so far.Saturday, September 17, 2011 @ 07:39 AM
I'd order this on the double if it had a separate achievement list. Despite having played it through three times already.Saturday, September 17, 2011 @ 08:45 AM
I think, at this juncture, it's a bit dissapointing of Bethesda to not pack in all the DLC. I know they're hoping that people who pick this up fresh will want to buy the additional DLC, but I'd say it would have been a better gesture from them to just pile it all in and say 'here is the full Oblivion experience ready for you to play before Skyrim'. Also, the making of DVD came with the original Oblivion CE, so it's not really a new thing either. Still, if you haven't ever played Oblivion, it's a damn good package and worth every penny.Saturday, September 17, 2011 @ 10:34 AM
You guys should pick it up. It looks sexxyyy.Saturday, September 17, 2011 @ 10:57 AM
No Horse Armor? I am outraged.Saturday, September 17, 2011 @ 12:56 PM
bonus disc is cool but I allready bought every piece of DLC. ^^ Doing a rerun now. Don't forget to clear cache to get rid of updates and play offline to dup stuff + get the skeleton key!Saturday, September 17, 2011 @ 01:23 PM
@13 you dont have a somewhat recent save before doing that mission? I went back and did it, but had to do 2 quests before hand. was worth it though. got every acheivement bitches!Saturday, September 17, 2011 @ 01:26 PM
@21 Its already here dudeSaturday, September 17, 2011 @ 03:06 PM
I wish i could erase my memory of all of Oblivion and Shivering Isles playthroughs just to experience it one more time before Skyrim :p This is great for someone who has never played this, for whatever crazy reason.Saturday, September 17, 2011 @ 03:37 PM
@61 source? The last I heard, it was third behind Modern Warfare 3 and Battlefield...Saturday, September 17, 2011 @ 05:14 PM
I think I'll try and get through Morrowind (first time), and Oblivion (again) then onto Skyrim (which WILL get GotY as all ES games have before)Saturday, September 17, 2011 @ 05:32 PM
I loved Oblivion, i still own and go back from time to time but this really does seem like a waste of time and effort on Bethesda's part. If they had released this or Morrowind on Live Arcade, then we'd be talking.Saturday, September 17, 2011 @ 05:40 PM
@9 Sorry but the oblivion GOTY version has become really rare since it's been 5 years when it came out.... Anyways I got this game preordered because I played this waaay too much on the PC version.Saturday, September 17, 2011 @ 09:59 PM
They aren't including the horse armour in this edition? :(Saturday, September 17, 2011 @ 11:39 PM
I find this to be a strange idea, releasing the game again with a bonus disc. Hmm, I'm pretty sure most people who like Elder Scrolls would have it by now. It's still a good idea as it can grow it's fanbase which could help Skyrim.Sunday, September 18, 2011 @ 10:58 AM
getting this even though i have the game the disk is scratched to shit so i cant play it.Sunday, September 18, 2011 @ 11:44 AM
Eh. I still have my GOTY edition so there is no need for this. Oblivion wasn't even that great, despite me being extremely hyped for it and picking it up on day one. The open world aspect was nice, but even during its release the graphics weren't stellar, the animations and combat were poor, story was boring, and there were maybe 10 voice actors for the whole game (at most). I did like the atmospheric music though. I'm sure Skyrim will be a much better game with a less limited world and more npc/dungeon variation.Sunday, September 18, 2011 @ 12:05 PM
I'll probably rent it for Shivering Isles. It'll be a nice warm-up for Skyrim.Sunday, September 18, 2011 @ 03:08 PM
@ #9: True, man, true. Who the hell gives thumbs down to one of the few comments here that actually has a point? Who cares for making-of bonus discs? Yawn.Sunday, September 18, 2011 @ 06:16 PM
DAMN IT. I LITERALLY JUST BOUGHT THE REGULAR EDITION IN PREPARATION FOR SKYRIM.Monday, September 19, 2011 @ 12:28 AM
a 5th anniversary, really? That isn't something they need to celebrate.Tuesday, September 20, 2011 @ 02:12 AM
Would like Horse Armour but I can and will get over it. Don't actually care about a making of DVD because I mod it myself on the PC version, I actually know how to make Oblivion (Yes I realise that it is harder than that). Metal case, Why? Free map, who dosen't have one or more of those. The one thing I actually want (The Skyrim Discount) dosen't come with the UK version, so far as I can find out. So, like many have said before, just get the GOTY edition with all the DLC for the same price. And no, I'm not bashing the game, this is honestly my favourite game outside the Final Fantasy Series. Oh, and #12, No, because COD has no replay value and, let's face it, you can buy the latest COD and it would be the exact same as the one before, and the one before that...Wednesday, November 09, 2011 @ 02:07 PM
Just got it 2 hours ago.How long will it take to get the 1000 points?Best 30 euros spent.Thursday, November 17, 2011 @ 08:09 PM
still need to play this. may pick up this edition nowMonday, March 19, 2012 @ 02:41 PM
Awesome game, only played it on PC but will pick this up for sure.Friday, March 23, 2012 @ 04:52 PM
Why no NTSC?Wednesday, October 24, 2012 @ 10:25 PM
By far my favorite Elder Scrolls game
Friday, September 16, 2011
Bethesda has today announced the European release date for The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion 5th Anniversary Edition, which will be available for a most bargainous price of £19.99/€29.99 and will include the following content:
This is pretty much what you got in the Game of the Year Edition, but the bonus disc with a behind-the-scenes making of video is exclusive to this edition of the game, making it the definitive Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion package. You'll be able to pick up the 5th Anniversary Edition from September 23rd.
