Shank 2
Shank 2 Unveiled, Coming Early Next Year

EA and developer Klei Entertainment have announced a sequel to last year’s beat-em-up, Shank. You’ll never guess what it’s called? Shank 2! Amazing, I know.

"Creatively, Shank still has a lot to give," said Klei Entertainment’s Jamie Cheng. "We took the feedback from the community and ran with it, putting our own flavor on every change. For Shank 2, we literally took apart the game and put it back together to push the envelope in combat mechanics, visuals, and 2D animation in games."

Shank 2 is all about redemption, as former mob hitman Shank jumps into action once more when the lives of those close to him are endangered. The 2D side-scrolling beat-em-up sequel also introduces a new survival co-op mode.

You’ll be able to download Shank 2 from the digital distribution platform of your choice in early 2012.

@2 & 3 it's 600 right now and worth it.

I'll grab this one too, like #1 said, I do hope it's a bit longer. Shank was fun while it lasted but if they're going to charge 1200 again I hope they add more game to it.

The game was pretty badass, I played through it with my wife and while she did not enjoy dying over and over it made my life a lot easier. Totally worth DoTW, I hope they have online co-op this time around...

Shank was very cool looking and... repetitive and boring.

I'll probably be in the mood to throw away some MS points and buy the sequel though, especially since it'll be "bigger" and "better!"

First game was totally great. I literally can't see how they could possibly have a relevant story for this one, though. Everything is done and everybody is dead. The whole point was that Shank DIDN'T have "people he was close to" anymore.
