BioWare has confirmed that it's looking into the possibility of doing some multiplayer DLC for Mass Effect 3, although it will ultimately hinge upon how the audience reacts to the divisive 'Galaxy at War' co-op mode, which Dan found rather disappointing during his recent hands-on.
“We do intend to have DLC for multiplayer, but we really want to get the game out there and get feedback from consumers before we decide what the right thing to do is concerning that DLC,” BioWare's Aaryn Flynn told VG247. “It could be anything: more modes, mores characters, more classes, more races, more weapons – it’s totally wide open.”
Flynn once again reiterated that Mass Effect 3's co-op mode is completely optional and not essential for achieving the optimal ending to the saga. We'll all be able to make our own minds up about Mass Effect 3's Galaxy at War co-op mode when the demo releases in January 2012 and the full game launches on March 6th, 2012 in North America and March 9th, 2012 in Europe.
