Assassin's Creed: Revelations
Assassin's Creed: Revelations Den Defence Video Gets Tactical

Killing is just one facet of Assassin's Creed: Revelations, so when you're not stabbing up guards, crafting bombs, zip-lining around with Ezio's hookblade or uncovering the secrets of Altair, there's your Assassin Dens to protect too, which actually, now that we think about it also involves a lot of killing.

Setting up barricades and calling upon his league of assassins, Ezio will have to ensure that the perimeter of his base is preserved, using all manner of weapons to stave off waves of Templar attackers in an intriguing twist on the tower defence strategy genre. That means ploughing through the Templars and leaving behind piles of bodies.

It's all covered in this third episode of the Secrets of the Ottoman Assassins video series, which focuses upon the strategical Den Defence portion of the game, tasking Ezio with keeping watch over his territories in Constantinople. Check out the video, then prepare for Assassin's Creed: Revelations on November 15th in North America and November 18th in Europe.

I like Tower Def. games but not sure about this. It looks okay but it's impossible to fairly judge based solely upon that video.

Can't wait for this game btw!

This is single player...

Although, I wish it were a separate modes instead of part of the story. I remember gang wars from San Andreas, which were more of a pain when you were trying to advance the story than anything else.

@#1 What?

OT: Saw this earlier, might be fun, but adding few extra thing here and there does not justify releasing same game each year that was announced as trilogy... At least MP will have huge overhaul to justify it:-)

I think this sounds pretty cool. I was going to get this game either way, but I am getting more and more excited about it. Lots of people say AC keeps making the same game, but why fix something that isn't broken? I like how little things keep getting added, so its enough like the other games that I can just jump in and play, but they add new things so there is a minor change of pace. For example, in AC: Brotherhood, having the assassins that you could call in was pretty legit, but the game still played like AC:2.

Definitely an interesting addition to the game.

@7 I don't see how the game was better without the MP, it's not like you're forced to play it. The MP adds replayability and content to an already great game. The single player is still there and the MP hasn't taken anything away from it.

I like how this is showing how Ezio is advancing in ranks. He started of solo, then had a few assassins at his command now he is like a general commanding troops. Very nice addition.

@1 - you realize that TD and Horde are two completely different game types, right? I mean it' know what? It's just easier to say you're retarded and move on.
OT: I love how the Assassin Creed series is constantly adding these new features and modes. I also love how detractors of the series claim it's the same exact game year in and year out.

16, you're not entitled to earn achievements. They're there for people who are interested in the content, and that content does sometimes also provide achievements. Ubisoft - indeed, no developer - should ever be concerned with making sure that absolutely everyone who plays their games should be able to get the full 1000gs without ever having to do something they don't personally enjoy doing.

If you don't like Assassin's Creed multiplayer, don't play it. If that means you don't get a few achievements, really, what's the big deal? The correct answer is that there isn' one.

I have to say, I'm loving the Assassins Creed series. In my opinion, I think every game has past the last installment. Even the multiplayer. It didn't last long, but I still enjoyed it! I'm liking this whole new tactical warfare. It does seem to had a whole new depth.

This series is gonna finish on a high.

Each game's finale pretty much forces me to get the next installment! Can't wait to see what's next.. the fact that this is the most enjoyable franchise currently available doesn't hurt.

Hum... not a big fan of Tower Defense. Hope this type of gameplay will comme as some kind of secondary mission that you can keep for later. If it's something that could interrupt you when visiting the city or juste messing around... I think I may be a little bored by it.

Anyway, I'm afraid that, when offering too much of different gameplay far away from tho original purpose of the first game (say... planning assassination), the serie could lose some of its personnality.

Well... we will see for that... But, really, I think they should stay with the actual gameplay (Brotherhood is prestty great) and offer some new situation to use it and/or focus on a great story and environnements. For exemple, instead of just sending our fellow Assssins in missions, they could allow us to actually play this mission with the members of our congregation.

Love this, Tower Defense on AC is well recieved but on Mass Effect a similar idea is put forward and is damned to the ground. I like that :L

OT: Anything AC does is going to be a success, and this looks freaking awesome, roll on the 15th!

I love tower defence - but when i play AC - i want to play AC... as long as they learned from Fable 3 and GTA4s mistakes (i.e. bugging you to spend a lot of time running around doing this stuff when you wanna be playing missions) then it will be awesome.

Not sure how I feel about this? Not the biggest tower defense fan. I just hope it doesn't turn out being an annoying aspect in a otherwise good game.

i totally agree that AC was better without MP because if Ubisoft didn't waste their time on these stupid extras, they would be able to make an already amazing SP even better.
